I love all my Pat palettes, and my favorite is Subliminal. Your look is amazing!! I love th eAnne of Green Gables books too and the series was one of my favorites to waych nack in the 80s! I havent seen the Netflix one but now i dont care to. I hate when they deviate from the book so much its something totally different. My favorite PM palette would be somethng simialr to ND Yucca but may with a pop od purple and lavendar.❤❤❤❤

Anne of Green Gables! That was one of my favourites as well. I read everything that author wrote and adored the tv version from the 80s. Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie were Anne and Gilbert for me. Edited to say the pairing was genius! That look was gorgeous.

Alright 15minutes in and I had to comment! First of all I'm subscribed to both you and Martina but you were first. Not only your skin tone and choices of colour and interests matched me so well that I purely watched due to my intrigue of whats Mariam is going to pair next. And later I bought most palettes, blushes etc etc on your recommendations. Now funny thing is I am in a different part of world always thought of being a geneticist but instead became a derma and recently preparing for exam doing genetics topic and This is something You Have Nailed it! Omg and Martina picked you my first two PMG purchases - still 2 of my all time favourites! I know Subliminal is less your jam than other motherships but personally it's my one true palette - if I could only pick 1 eyeshadow palette to user the rest of my life, Subliminal would win. Such a fun one! Can we just take a moment and talk about your impossibly high cheek bones. Normally you move quickly through complexion and cheeks to get to eyes and they get over looked. This time you lingered longer with just cheeks and no eyes, and WOW! Minimal eyes and lips with the focus on cheeks, Amazing. Just saying. So much to talk about here. Ok, Anne with an E. While the first 80s series is my favourite, it always bothered me that Anne thought she was ugly when clearly the actress Megan Fellows was very beautiful indeed. In the new series Anne is less classically beautiful and physically more like the Anne from the book. Also given that Anne was an orphan farmed out to multiple families as a domestic slave it would make sense she harboured considerable trauma which the second series highlights. Where the newer series fails for me is with the supporting cast. While I thought the character of Matthew was great, Marilla didn’t have the same hard edge (which of course Anne permeates in time). Also a big let down was Diana. Diana was meant to be beautiful elegant child (contrast to Anne’s plainess). The first series captured that much better. My questions to you are: 1. How many languages do you speak? What are they? What language do you dream in? 2. How did you and hubby meet?

question for you Mariam: sorry for my ignorance, how do you feel or how do you manage your love for makeup and/or having a family in academia, how do you manage that? Do you feel your colleagues (or even visitors, dunno) see you differently or treat you differently because you wear sparkles on your eyes? I wear my PML to work (and I work in a office) and I get many comments (good and/or bad). I imagine being in academia may result in comments about your makeup too...?

So many things to comment on…but will focus on languages and math. I totally get it about learning languages. Working on French right now. But I could probably get conversant in Italian and Portuguese very easily. On the subject of math it came easily to me. Indeed I have a math major. But I understand about word problems (that is what they call them in the US) and statistics. I have to work at them. Therefore I think it is about fear.

Yes!!!! I loved Anne of Green Gables as a kid! And agree Anne with an E is so bad! 😭 why does modern TV have to ruin so many classics? I felt the same way with the Wheel of Time show. An absolute abomination. No idea if you’re even a fantasy fan but it just came to mind. Also, I love that you’re a scientist. I’m a mechanical engineer and sooo wish I had stuck with my gut and went into science instead. I regret my decision all the time, though physics is my love, not biology. It’s a real shame because physics and calculus are why I got into engineering in the first place but as an engineer I NEVER GET TO DO EITHER!!!! 😡 Some day I’ll go back and study it but right now my focus has to be on my kids. But some day!!!! 💔 Also, if you read my message the other day I just recently found you and I’m obsessed with you already! 😂 your passion for all things luxury beauty and the lovely way you speak just hits my soul in a special way. I feel I’ve found a kindred spirit weirdly. Sorry if that’s creepy! 😂 but it seems like every video I’ve watched so far (and I’ve been binding!)I say at least once, “Yep, I really like this woman. based only on your introduction comments, I wonder if a mathematician could come up with the # of possible combination using a # number of motherships with 10 shades each, using, lets say, 3 shades as basis. Mind you we are not even considering the quads and 5-pans or whatever else lol (didnt know you were gonna talk about math later on in the video LOL)

You really look best in bright cool colours. On the contrary, warm colours don't suit your type so much.
