A viral video of a UCT Faculty of Humanities graduate Chumani aka Zanzolo, shouting and claiming the Land from the hands of white minority...this day is recorded in African history...WHAT IS EDUCATION WITHOUT LAND? A DEGREE ALONE WILL NEVER LIBERATE AFRICA... #UCTGRAD2018

when a student from UJ did what this guys is doing he received insults from people , saying his behavour was uncalled for nd attacked him bcos of the political organisation he belongs to .. mina personally I appreciate that there are such people who fights for the black nation bcos most of us are scared to confront nd be clear where we stand ,all those who were insulting that guy from UJ I wanna see those same insults going towards this ANC member don't be bias nd soft when it comes to him

uct,ukzn students you need to take a seat and relax you being too much now. A graduation ceremony is a formal event, you can do all this unnecessar celebrations you do on the podium at your graduation party.
@sivemadikidikane6687
@sivemadikidikane6687 6 жыл бұрын
Zibalule Mdeni I get your point bhuti and now I understand the excitement however it's still debatable. Some students would go as far as doing ivosho on the podium(too much). Some things are really not necessary. The guy had a Beautiful outfit by the way, I love it kodwa khawume ke,yintoni le ebeyichitha pha phantsi phambi koba ukuphe la qhiya(a Anc doek really)? I won't dispute your statement because I did not perceive this from your perspective however I still say something things aren't really necessary(I'm calling on some order). I'm a graduate myself(graduated in 2016 now a professional) soon I 'll be graduating for my second degree. I understand the excitement and the emotional feeling they experience at that particular moment but....

SIVE MADIKIDIKANE what you are saying is a sign that you live a fake life because as Africans we have our ways of celebration so if you say such celebrations are debatable and unnecessary you are suffering from self hate and inferiority complex, how can being you not be necessary or how can it be debatable? What I do not and will not condone is the utilisation of graduation ceremonies as platforms of political campaigns but, whatever, is happening in UKZN is absolutely correct there are no demarcations in accordance to how we express our joy. What kind of hapiness is formal cause that's something affiliated with spontaneity?

Alright sharp bra.sure ..sure....well done...you did that then what's next now? The problem with this is that it might ruin chances of you being employed even when you had a chance....nowadays companies and other institutions go deep in searching for information about candidates..you will be be suprised in an interview when they remind you...by then it will be a black person doing that to you....let us not be carried away..even if you are a leader you still have to mind your actions and how you express them...I am praying that all these actions doesn't catch up with him as an academic...

It's absolutely inappropriate to make such an honorable ceremony all about you.Many graduands could've done the same thing but they didn't because they respect other people's time and presence.This is where the importance of "discernment" kicks in.I strongly condemn this move comrade.

It’s so unfair and emotionally hurting when black oaks criticising another black oak. We the africans we have our own way of showing excitement . Most of the bornfrees will never learn and understand how we live and how life was ‘ for us as blacks during old times. U have adopted too much of western ways of doing things . Thi student has pride of what he has archieved. And it so embarrasing that you turned against your cultures and morals i know i might be the next victim of criticism due to my poor english . By the way we can’t help it . But let’s look at the mirror and check who is in the reflection before u criticise and ask your self what have you archieved in your lfe so far😡

The irony is that Mr. Maxwele had two disciplinary hearings still open against him at the time of his graduation (for a three year course he took 7 years to complete). These spung from a charge of assault of a UCT maths lecturer, and another charge of assault of one of the accessors sitting on the hearing coming out of the first charge. These were non-political, potentially criminal acts, amongst many other acts of violent intimidation. UCT has a policy that no degree may be awarded without such a hearing being concluded. But, like it has done consistently for perpetrators of political violence on campus, UCT again indulged Mr. Maxwele for his graduation, eventually waiving the full process under guise of political "amnesty". Yet, the maths lecturer was put although the full disciplinary mill, since Mr. Maxwele laid bogus charges against her. Source: "The Fall of the University of Cape Town" by Professor David Benatar. My own take is that this person has impulse control issues, is likely a narcissist and likely has extremely low EQ. Just a hunch,
