This was a great walk around, and consequently, I didn't have to fly all the way down there to see it. It is a similar reaction to when they finally had live and in car camera coverage of a local indycar race that was an absolute cluster**** to get into and out of, and get a decent seat. Never, ever again would I go in person. Also some live music shows.. it was like, "whew! now I never have to endure drunkards, self-intitled waitresses, and slow and spendy beer service". As Chevy Chase said in National Lampoon's American Vacation about the Grand Canyon: "Yeah... that's great.. let's go". That's good music by the way!

I was at SnF on Saturday. The weather was absolutely amazing and it didn't feel crowded at all. Plenty of great areas to watch the airshow without being on top of other people. Your average Target / Walmart checkout area is far more crowded than SnF was. Nowhere near as crowded as Disney or Universal. Much better class of people than Disney as well. It's not that there weren't a lot of people there, it's that SnF has about 2.5x the room as a Disney park. At one point we even remarked about how quiet and peaceful it was.

Hope you got what you needed out of it because Amazon prime distribution is taking over with an even bigger expanded warehouse and Atlas air will be on the runway all day. They won’t have time for little nonsense conventions at this airport anymore. It’s over.

Actually, LAL never closed operations. There were Prime/Atlas flights in and out all throughout the day without issue. There's 1440 minutes in a day. Amazon isn't running hundreds of flights per day into LAL. Even at that, most of Amazon's flights into LAL are overnight, when the airshow would be over.
