Nice one guys. Just to point out the law for parking a motorhome is identical in Scotland and England. The Land Reform Act that allows wild camping specifically excludes motor vehicles. The motorhome parking comes under the Road Traffic Act.

Scotland is amazingly beautiful. I would love to wild camp there. We went in a hired motorhome last September but as it was our first trip in one we stuck to campsites. Hoping to be a bit more adventurous when we visit France in a VW campervan later in the year 😁

Fantastic vid. I am Scottish and think our scenery is stunning! Although I would never venture north west in the summer as midges are horrendous, we keep to the east in the summer months! Enjoy your trip and look forward to seeing part twa! Xx

Nice to see you made it over the wall guys. As I have stated before we are just south of Glasgow it would be great to catch up. I don't know where you are on your travels but please if you get a chance visit the Arisaig area, some great campsites there, Sunnyside Croft highly recommended. You can then take the ferry to Skye and then if you are looking for one of the best beaches in the world take the ferry to Harris, visit Luskintye, Scarista beaches and Horgabost campsite. Harris Distillery is not to be missed and the Gin is nectar from the gods. Finally if you make it out to Harris then the Isle of Harris Trust have some camping spots and an honesty box to pay. I could Rabbit on .... We will be in the Dunkeld area in my van over the weekend of the 22nd. best wishes and keep the content coming. Fine work guys cheers,

Shame that so many Scottish people have never been to Scotland. It’s accessible 12 months of the year. Just wear long-johns and/or waterproofs when required.

What a shame you didn't do this trip in the California. As a California owner I would have been very interested to see how you got on with its limitations etc. It was the name of your channel that brought me hear in the first place. Anyway have a nice time.

Nice video. Looking forward to the next one. It'd be great if you could talk about the pros and cons vs your camper in a later video. Also, a small point - isn't it usual with BritStops to make sure that you don't identify the location, just give out the BritStop reference number? - otherwise everyone will just go there directly and BritStops will shut down which would be a real shame.

Glen etiv, the pap of glencoe, ballachulish, ..go to morar, glenfinnan( Bonny prince Charlie monument, next to the church I got married in) all famous film locations too!

Couple of points everyone should bear in mind, wild camping is legal but the Act doesn't mention vehicles, it's meant to provide a right to roam across land. Strictly speaking parking a vehicle by the road side isn't wild camping so you can be asked to move. Secondly this video looks like you parked in a passing place. These are definitely a no no and there's a real chance of getting told to move and annoying the locals. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip though.

Sorry to be critical, because I think you guys are great, but its hardly California Camping . I think its a missed opportunity and Im sure lots of your followers who I guess are California owners, or want to be , would love to see how you got on in the VW camper, which is what I thought your channel was about. This could be anyone traveling in a huge motorhome. Obviously your filming and personality are tops as usual. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in the California in the future.
