Our week long trip in Puerto Escondido was the first time we allowed ourselves any form of being in vacayyy mode (just a little tho lol) since our entire Mexico travels was focused around being in search of our home-base, the mode we were in most of the time was veryyyy budgety.
Arriving here after our month long stay in Cozumel, in which our place was sooo unluxurious: an xtra tiny studio, humid and muggy af, no a/c, no restroom wall separation, mold, minimum of 3 geckos inside at all times.... well, let's just say that this was definitely a breath of fresh air- literally lol so we allowed ourselves to splurge just a tiny bit.
Til this day, we miss that rooftop and the sounds of ocean waves crashing constantly running in the background as white noise.
Not shown: us pooping our guts out for 3 days as we parasite cleansed + our wild shuttle rides that brought us to and from Puerto Escondido- pretty unpleasant lol in hindsight, we shoulda just forked up a little more on tickets and gone in a bus where Cynthia wldnt have had a random lady sleeping on her shoulder half the ride- we wlda had wayyy more room AND access to a restroom
