Kevin/Stu - Kevin I met you in your HC Safari days on a Nyngan property managed by my uncle Ian McK whose fondness for Bundy was a matter of note. You had a Captain (US Armoured?) with you and the morning after the night before when we tottered off to find a few pigs, the Landy got stuck and when we all got out to push found that it was still in two wheel mode. Great fun. I delivered the eulogy for Ian some years back - anyone who flew Spitfires in Britain and the Pacific theatre was a breed apart. Great to see you still lowering the boom on a few pigs.
@HuntingwithStu3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, wow well there you go! I actually rang Dad and read this over the phone. Yes Ian was a classic bloke loved going hunting up on his place. Remember the buggy that the station hand Harry made? Double wheels on it and the glove box had a red cross painted on it to denote first aid and inside was a bottle of red mill rum, ha!

@@HuntingwithStu Stu I remember well the hunting buggy.......risked my life in it many times...everything with Ian was fun. The only time I remember him being a little pissed of was when he only got 14 ducks with 15 shots. Great days. All the best to you both.

Hey Stu, Mate love all your vids. Especially getting dad out with you. Thats what its allabout for sure, getting bogged just makes the banter at the family Christmas dinner that much better. For a relative newbie like me - what is the stubble you speak of? Is that like low bristley shrubs?
@HuntingwithStu3 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍mate pleased you liked it. The stubble is paddocks that have been harvested and pigs come out on it to feed on the left over crop like wheat or barley that the harvester misses. Stubble I suppose is like whiskers on ya chin as this is what it is like in the paddock.

Hell yea! Taking Dad out for a pig or two. New camera? Video seems so clear etc. Man, That's some awesome looking country. Must have been raining some lately. Hopefully, when I get old ( I'm 70+) my son will invite me out to hunt. I can't wait for it to warm up some to go pig hunting. Here, in the TEXAS panhandle we use automatic barrel corn feeders to draw the wild hogs in. Here we don't have access to huge expanses of land like you get to use. Ranchers ( most of whom are really wealthy) want to charge crazy prices to kill pigs. I do nearly all hunting ( pigs, deer, antelope, coyotes, raccoons, bobcats etc) with a bow.

@@HuntingwithStu It was a Billabong Zombie you heard (not to be confused by with the Bush Zombie or the common Creek Zombie of Northern Australia). Exercise extreme vigilance since the Billabong Zombies are among the most dangerous (just behind the Great White Zombie....but those are only found near the ocean fortunately). There are 2 effective ways to kill a Billabong Zombie. The first has something to do with holy water, wooden stakes, and a crucifix. The second is to blow a smoking hole through its forehead with a Ruger M77 Mark 2 rifle in 30-06 caliber. NOTE: You can substitute the 30-06 rifle with an Adler lever action A110 shotgun.....but who the hell owns one of those. American firearms are recommended for Billabong Zombies. Just my opinion you understand. Best of luck!
