Perfect example of why "some" people SHOULD be aloud to have semi's, given a good old SKS Stu could be even more effective at feral control mind you he has ridiculously quick target acquisition and aim with a bolt. Keep up the good work Stu we need more guys like you out there to help eradicate the pests and preserve what is left of our native habitat.

Pigs are responsible to the extinction of over a hundred species of animals and birds in Australia, great to see someone doing something about this problem, habitat loss to natural species like the Cassowary is highly indangered becouse of pigs. Keep the good work up. Jim Richardson

This is one of the reason for leaving the kills There is growing concern in New South Wales about a disease that is spread by feral pigs and can cause infertility among humans and dogs. Swine brucellosis is widespread in parts of Queensland and infects pig-hunting dogs, but can also spread to humans through blood contact. In Australia, the infection is only common in feral pigs, not domestic pigs. University of Sydney Epidemiology lecturer Siobhan Mor said the disease was being detected in parts of north-western NSW and one dog has even been diagnosed in Sydney. Plus they are a pest to Australia and kill our native wildlife and these guys are probably paid to kill and leave the kills
@mindsetoverhaul
@mindsetoverhaul 6 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Does this mean it's unsafe to cook and consume infected pigs?
@benjaminbec
@benjaminbec 6 жыл бұрын
mindsetoverhaul yes you can but it not worth the risk of getting Swine brucellosis because it comes with many things which can cause death and many medical difficulties plus when preparing and cooking the pig Swine brucellosis can be transferred from pig to the hunter or person preparing the kill but in this video I think it is mainly because they are contract killers and are asked to leave their kills behind

Hi Stu, I recently got my R Licence and am heading to northern NSW next week, with the chance of encountering a pig for the first time. Do you have any experience eating any of the pigs you have shot? Or is this an idea I shouldn't even entertain in Australia? Thanks, Matt.
@HuntingwithStu
@HuntingwithStu 3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate congrats and welcome to the fold. You can eat em but in some areas pigs carry liptoserosis of the blood which is harmful to people. A young pig would be great to eat spit roasted over coals just make sure it is well cooked mate. Good hunting.

Hunting with Stu I'd love to bag at least one Roo on my trip to hunt pigs in Australia this summer... When you use an airgun to hunt hogs, you'll be amazed at how hard the pellets hit. They drop like a rock. I'd recommend nothing less than 30 caliber but I use Hatsan and Benjamin 25 cal. and they work just fine. Stu, check out KZfaq search "Keith Warren airgun Hog hunt" and watch him down several hogs with 22 calibre airgun. Quite amazing.

Hey Stu. Big fan. Out of all the pig hunting videos I’ve seen, I watch yours the most. You seem like a real Jo with regular, non fancy gear, creating mayhem for those poor pigs with your great marksmanship. Question. Are you hunting for fun (clearly you love it) or are you a hired hunter for the land owners?

Tell her that pigs eat young lambs just for their liver. Also up on the coastal areas wild pigs walk along beaches and sniff out turtle nests, dig them up and eat all the young turtles
