A year ago today, our chickens made the epic journey from our house in North London to their temporary home at Marie's mum's house in Wales. Cem and his cousin, Ibby, made history by hauling the chicken house up and over a flat-roofed extension of our old house when we discovered that the chicken house wouldn't fit through the doorways. After a long trip, they set up a temporary run for the chickens using our old polytunnel, some pond netting and some old chicken wire we had lying around. The girls happily lived in their temporary home until we moved them to Abertaf where they now live, happily roaming the woodland.
We moved here to Wales on the Summer Solstice of 2019 from North London. Together as a family, we aim to live in harmony with nature, renovating an old stone cottage and maintaining the ancient bluebell woodland. We live a simple, frugal life; mortgage-free and happy!
