I don't want to see anything indicating Nvidia is a viable alternative now. Their power connectors still have problems, you can see it in the igorslab update. Intel has improved their drivers a lot, so you shall compare AMD with Intel next time instead of Nvidia, who are using their monopolistic power within the graphics card market badly and whose products are overpriced and inclined to fail within a short time.

I enjoy Elijah's Lab's content, so it's a bummer to see the unfair comparison in builds. However, I think your video here has value in that you critiqued your own channel earnestly, explained your channels value proposition in how it differs from Elijah's, and that you continue to welcome challenges and critiques. Solid video!

Excellent video, love both your channels. I do think the big difference in your channels as you said is that you do easily repeatable deals and Elijah does one off local market deals. My last build (completed a month ago) is a great example where I got a crazy deal on a 5600G 2nd hand rig for a crazy good price allowing me to build a 5600G with 6700xt build with all the trimings (nice case with rgb fans) for £500, but I'm not about to throw my hat into the ring with you two :) Surprised the fortnige numbers were so far out. Were you using performance mode and coukd Elijah be using DX11. The term pro settings in fortnite can on depending on who you ask, eg. I initially used Epic view distance as Pro settings but was told Far view distance is better as firefights are never (or extremely rarely) at max distance. Like you I also make sure FSR or any resolution scaling is turned off (at 1080p it can really make the image look bad).

One of the reasons why Elijah used a 3060, instead of some other better valued Amd cards was because for his goal (selling PCs on Facebook) Nvidia gpus tend to sell a lot better. Great video and I really enjoyed it and your positive approach!

I really think Zach handled this very professionally, as well as friendly, in my opinion. The content was thorough in addressing the comparison as well as coming up with a build himself to rival Elijah's, although I believe the two were quite similar, again, in my opinion, with Zach's maybe just edging out Elijah's, price to performance wise. But that all depends on the parts you're able to get and at what price. To me, it'll be a toss up depending on who can find the better deal. And all the other one has to do is wait for a better part to become available for a better price, which, if you look around enough and are patient, you'll of course, pull off. Thumbs up!

@cjcox

I do agree with the RX 5700XT for (emphasis) today. I did buy mine quite some time ago marginally used and shipped for $150 USD. I would probably look for $100 USD shipped today as a "deal" for that right now. With that said, the 6600XT is getting down there in price, is a bit more efficient and so, it might be a good option (emphasis) today. For something that should last you a couple of years, I'd move up to a 6700XT if possible, but probably we're over $250 USD shipped at that point. And strangely, if you can fit and have the power for it, a 6800 just keeps dropping and dropping in price. Might be a stretch, but you'll really extend your years of use. I think the lowest I've seen shipped comes close to that $250 USD figure. I'd call that "a deal". Obviously, I'm talking used, talking ebay. Sometimes (emphasis) you can score better deals with a local marketplace, but for whatever reason, I think there's more deception there, so be careful.

Regular content being a challenge If I may suggest something; I believe positivity wins over the long run and again, I like how you call out the smart YT drama move ;) I would suggest to keep the #drama as humorous and fun in nature as matches your own personality, since end of the day we the viewer enjoya mostly the value of competitive pricing and builds being put against each other, figuring out how us brokies can get away with sick PC's and so we appreciate you both, any anyone else that joins the challenge. There's many gamers doing *me vs him* challenges, which seem to work great and pull the audience to both channels. You can keep the clickbait titles and icons, the YT win strategy

5700xt has been great for years, but it's hard to recommend after the results in Alan Wake 2. We'll see mesh shaders used more and more.

I’ve been looking at a build for around $1300 where I would use the 4070 super (if I would be able to get one for the $550 tag) but that’s only because I would want to future proof my pc at least a little bit. I only game in 1080P right now but want to look into getting a 1440p monitor in the future! With that being said I see builds like this and it really makes me consider just keeping it reasonable and shooting for maybe the $1k mark and seeing what I can get out of it.

Thanks for the tip on the RX 5700 XT - I've been struggling with making a budget Ryzen build with absolutely no money and I was able to snag one for $170 CAD (125 USD). I've been eyeing the RTX 3060 12GB for months, but the price is always around $400 CAD ($295 USD) which was seriously bumming me out.

I have a background in marketing strategy, here’s what I propose for the challenge. Objective: Create an event that’s profitable, repeatable, and scalable. First year output: Content series with 8-10 videos about the PC building challenge with at least one sponsorship. Challenge format: 3 challenges, best of 3 wins. Challenge ideas: 1) Best PC $450-$500, 2) Best PC $500-$600, 3) Best Console Beater PC (price to performance vs console), 4) Best Repeatable PC out of Recycled/Used Parts under $600, 5) Handicap Build (e.g. can’t use black or white pc case). Rules: Keep it simple, 3-5 criteria. I suggest bonus points for being less expensive and penalty points for used components. Prime opportunity to engage viewers with a poll but (maybe) need to solve for potential viewer bias. Sponsorship ideas: 1) Can only use used parts found on jawa.gg. 2) Must use a certain part from sponsor. Winner gets bragging rights and maybe a physical trophy (not more than $100) and/or donation to charity of choice. Future growth levers: licensing, sponsorship, viewership, & sales. Invite more people to the challenge. Content ideas: 1) announcement, rules, and hype. 2) Challenge 1 + winner. 3) Challenge 2 + winner. 4) Challenge 3 + winner. 5) Build video from PC 1. 6) Build video from PC 2. 7) Build video from PC 3. 8) Behind the scenes, bloopers, and bonus content. 9) Recap video and presentation of award. Costs: build price for each PC, ~$5k legal fees (for contracts, intellectual property consult, etc.), and I don’t know enough about your business to anticipate other costs. There are many more considerations but that’s what I’ve got in ~20 minutes. Hit me up if you want me to put some more thought into it. I hope to see something like this come to life.

Your gaming PC is literally my first build. in the montech air 100 and Ryzen 3 4300G. The A520 is perfect mobo with 3600mhz RAM. you can upgrade your CPU and upgrade your RAM to +4000MHz. if you're not streaming you don't need the extra DIMM slots really. If your goal is to game and work and maybe use chrome in the background then you'll be fine with dual channel. I don't have a GPU but I get 50+ fps on the game I play so its fine. I'll wait a few years to get a 3060 for dirt cheap

these are always going to be challenging videos for anyone to make the prices can fluctuate so much unpredictably at best in some scenarios, but tbh use of a 3060 or any real high end graphics card I feel is a little over zealous imho because at that point do you honestly think anyone is going to fully utilize the full potential of that hardware at that price point mostly going to be 1080p or 1440 gamers I would imagine, maybe I'm just biased I run mainly older titles I somehow have halo infinite running okish on my 5700G but can use an external gpu I done up over pcie x16 with a 1660 super if need be... it will be a few years before I upgrade but potentially consider the new upcoming 8700G in one of your new videos for budget gaming these little apu's are actually power houses for the budget end and barely consume any power which is great just my point of view... either way I mainly watch these videos for my entertainment and cable management the ascetics, either way looking good keep up the videos
