Funny thing about Kaena: it was ALWAYS meant as a game. It was created by Eric Chahi as an attempt at a spiritual followup to his cinematic platformer Heart of Darkness, but over time, Kaena morphed into an adult animated movie instead, with the game being made as a tie-in that was only released in Japan.

Kya: Dark Lineage is an incredible game. My friend recommended it to me and, after watching this video, I bit the bullet and purchased a copy. I was actually shocked at how fun it was and now it's definitely in my top ten of PS2 games. Thank you

*gets blown through the wall* WOOO, KYA! I'm really glad that you're having such a good time on it so far! Fair warning that there will most likely be some sections or elements that can be tough to figure out, not always for the right reasons. (for example, in how Kya starts a walk, and how in proximity to a cuttable rope, she may do a melee cut and step forward instead of throwing the Boomy). And it sadly sits in a similar lounge with the likes of Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Haven: Call of the King in terms of how it ends. Yet i do hope that the experience all the way will be one that you have a good time with! Wasn't expecting a shout-out because i thought you already had Kya on your list, so... thank you for that :) The only big name to have talked about it would be James from the channel Nitro Rad, about five or six years ago, but he was quite dismissive of the combat. (i'm still grateful he was fairly positive about it in the end). And yet for a 3D platformer-like game, it's quite in-depth! Progress is almost like Ratchet and Clank but melee fighting, where instead of new weapons, you buy new additions to your moveset as a whole. And there's more to follow on what the combat offers! Platforming too, it doesn't stop at the wind gliding, sky diving and board sliding yet. Though you've probably gotten to that already. Fun bit of trivia: A few years ago, some hackers/dataminers found that Kya had a planned multiplayer/bonus menu with stuff like a 1-on-1 soccer minigame, a Pac-Man maze, other sliding challenges, but also an arena where player 2 could select any humanoid enemy from the game to play as vs. player 1! And in more recent times, Eden Games' YT channel had been doing streams for Kya's anniversary, where a lot of planned and concept content for what would eventually become Kya was shared. Including a cheat code for properly accessing this bonus/multiplayer room! Really surprising to see Kaan here as well, that one's even *more* obscure than Kya. It seems to be a kind of Maximo knock-off in terms of style and gameplay. There were two games in the Maximo series, with a third one planned but sadly never got made. I hope your video will help make Kya more known and that people will have fun with it, and i wish you good luck and fun on the rest of this series! Who knows what secrets may yet lie beyond the glade.

Klonoa was my 2nd ps2 bought with my money in a bargain bin for around £11! Loved it!

KOF Maximum Impact and The King of Fighters 2006 (aka KOF MI2) are both great games! They play different than any previous or later KOF games, in a good way. Combos are done manually and are very satisfying to pull off. Kya Dark Lineage does look good and I plan on trying it out. Letter M coming up pretty soon, and I'd recommend checking out The Mark of Kri. As well as the follow up game Rise of the Kasai.

Kaena, Knights of tge Temple, Kuon, and Kya look really interesting. Kuon & Knights appeal to me more so. Looking forward to adding them to my totally 100% legitimate collection.
