For light gun games, you can go to settings of your PCSX2 and create a new profile (name it how you want), click on USB Port 1 and on the right side drop down menu, where it says "not connected", change it to GunCon 2. Leave Relative Aiming blank, as it's mouse by default, and just assign rest of the buttons (shooting, offscreen shooting, a/b/c etc). Right click your light gun game and go to properties and where it says Input profile, change it to your new profile. Just make sure when you do the keybindings, not to overlap them with already existing keybindings that are mapped on your keyboard.

Nightshade/Kunoichi is one of my favorite PS2 games. I go back to it all the time. It's hard as hell, but very fun to play.

I thought that first game was some fever dream i had as a kid. Seeing the footage instantly reminded me of playing the demo. Need to give that a shot for sure. Thanks. Edit: 2005? Definitely wasn't a kid then. My memory is shot.

Loads more games here that I'm intrigued by than I was expecting tbh. Like you said at tge start, they tend to be the 3 letter sport games that have never appealed.

I like Ninja Assault but my biggest gripe with it is Namco didn't really seem to improve the graphics of it over the arcade version like they did with Vampire Night and the Time Crisis games.
