This is ridiculously good information. Funny how a video about a sim aircraft happens to be one of the best videos on propellers on KZfaq.

There's Polish Air Force Spitfire in RAF with 111th "Kosciuszko" Squadron and Pluto on the engine cover at around 1:10. Some piece of history!

PLEASE make more videos like this, of ALL the aircraft you made and are making, it's just THAT awesome to watch such a RICH preview-review.

Excellent tutorial. My then new 1981 Cessna Cutlass 172RG had a constant speed prop and I loved it versus the fixed pitch prop performance of other general aviation aircraft I flew back then, but never really understood the 'magic' of the constant speed prop until watching this video. Also, thank heavens you guys haven't bailed out on FSX like M$ did. Each new A2A innovation keeps FSX fresh. Keep 'em coming!

well finally someone is paying attention to those details. now I just wish you guys made some ga aircraft, at least some classic gas. like the cessna 195 etc.

he's right its a real incite into how a good pilot worked a spitfire to get the maximum out of his aircraft, I have this simulator and it's a real joy to fly and get that understanding of how the ww2 pilot flew in regards to management of there airframe, motor, prop

I can't describe how enjoyable this was to watch! . I hope the next step for A2A will be to hook up an external flight model to replace the FSX's quirky one.

A2A have really done their homework.

@mickellemastra with a constant speed prop - no, you set the climb settings and leave it till cruise then adjust again, if it's manual variable then yes and to whatever rpm gives best performance for that stage of flight, if it's fixed pitch, you adjust power to maintain rpm within limits.

If only xplane,fsx(aces),a2a,and rex devs got together and made a flight sim... I can't describe how awesome that would be so I'll just stop here and dream.

Spot on. Fantastic. I wish I hadn't sold my FSX but this is enough for me to get it back.
