If you know about Airbus , his preparation is incorrect , I don’t understand if he is PF or PM he performed many actions as PM , a few as PF …really disappointed!

@@okq3041 He is a captain, he know what he do and the procedures can be always different, that doesn´t mean that if PM or PF touch one button thats correct but the other pilot has to push it doesn´t mean that the procedures will be less safe or incorrect, what he wants to teach is how to do the cockpit preparation, and his procedures are correct

Hello Richard! Couple questions from the simmer here: if APU is operative, do you use both PACKs on ground for conditioning? Or one PACK is enough during preps and PAX boarding? If neither conditioned air ground source nor APU is available, is it possible to use high pressure ground source and PACKS instead? Great and useful video btw! I've been searching the "real" procedure quite long to compare it with FCOM normal procs. Thanks!

Why not start one engine at the gate then start the other engine via cross-bleed during pushback?
@RichardCunningham65
@RichardCunningham65 3 жыл бұрын
I could’ve, but not DURING the pushback. That’s not allowed, so then we’d have to wait until after pushback to start the other engine. The whole process would therefore take longer, so when we we’re allowed to do it (which is not every time), we start both engines at the gate.

What I really find surprising is that you tell us the APU is not available. Was it damaged by an action from the previous flightcrew? Is an aircraft even allowed to fly without a functional APU?
@RichardCunningham65
@RichardCunningham65 2 жыл бұрын
Most definitely you’re able to operate without an APU. In normal operations the APU is used for ground operations to supply electrical power and provide air conditioning and starting the engines. All these functions can be provided by ground equipment. Once the engines are started, they provide all of the above and the usually shut down anyway.
