THANK YOU!!! I've been saying it for YEARS that the only reason Korra lost was because she made that stupid mistake, I don't know why she thought of restraining him with water there, if she used earth more in that fight she would've won

I don't think it wouldn't have made a difference if she used earth bending to fight or restrain him because A: Korra (at least at this point in the series) didn't know how to remove someone's bending. So she wouldn't bother trying to use earth bending to restrain Unavatuu so she could do that. B: Even if Korra did restrain Unavatuu with earth bending like Aang would of, it wouldn't have stopped Unavatuu from doing the same thing he did when being restrained with water unless his head was also covered, which she wouldn't do if the goal was to try remove his bending. C: Even if she did both of the above mentioned things, she still would have ended up in the same situation because she (or anyone) had no idea Unavatuu could rip Ravaa out of her like that. If she did, she wouldn't have gotten close to him like that to begin with. D: Lets just say Korra did had knowledge of what Unavatuu could do and made it her goal to restrain him while keeping a distance, and so resorts to earth bending. He's a waterbender dark avatar surrounded by water and ice. No amount of earth was gonna stop or contain him. While I have no idea what her plan was in that moment, anything she would or should have done would have been negated because she's the first Avatar to face a Dark Avatar, thus had no frame of reference on how to deal with a unique opponent like Unavatuu. Also factor in that Korra was fighting her uncle. To Aang, Unalaq would just be some evil water bender that he has no connection to.

@@lincolnbeckett8791 A: she was already restoring bending in season 1, it's safe to assume she could take it away too. B: energy bending most likely wouldn't have worked but for a completely different reason, to bend the energy in someone else your spirit has to be harder to bend than the person who's spirit you're bending and I don't think Korra would've survived that struggle. C: Vaatu was moving very slow and the only reason Korra didn't move out of the way is because Unalaq was holding her in place, if she was free and he was bound in earth that wouldn't happen. D: He is surrounded by water and ice but he hasn't been shown to be able to bend psychically, avatars can do that thanks to skill boost from the past lives but Unalaq has no past lives to get a skill boost from, he still needs to make movements to bend and if he's restrained up to his neck there's no way he'd be able to break free. If she restrained him she could've had enough to think of a way to beat him, whether kill him or take his bending or maybe even realized she could rip Vaatu out of his mouth or maybe she'd knocked him out by creating a vacuum, causing him to lose his breath.

People may call bullshit on Katara stronger than Zaheer but I don't think its the most outrageous take since she probably scales to Tenzin and Tenzin literally only “lost” to Zaheer because Zaheer got bailed out by his sniping combustion bending girlfriend take that away and Zaheer literally landed I think maybe one hit on Tenzin and was literally running the entire fight.

That’s not the only stupid call that Korra has made in battle. She literally has no battle strategy. I don’t know if Korra is a shitty student or the white Lotus are shitty trainers but seen Korra as a student for Tenzin. She’s probably a shitty student. When Zaheer was flying around instead of restraining him with earth she restrained him with ice that he could crack. And when they were shooting poison darts 🎯 at her, she choose to shoot fire at them instead of any of the other elements that she could bend that could stop the darts. 🎯 I’m not saying Aang is perfect. He did make one of the stupidest decisions of meditating in the middle of a battle. But to be fair, he didn’t know 💭 his Wi-Fi wasn’t an instant connection and didn’t anticipate the reboot process.

A lot of people hate korra but don’t even stop to consider her circumstances and why she turned out the way she did. She was a sheltered prodigy. Wasn’t even told why she was sheltered until season 3 which probably would’ve helped at a young age, experienced pure fear for the first time with Amon, lashed out at her teachers and made emotional mistakes in season 2 due to lack of info that would’ve been vital and had all connections severed was put in a damn near inescapable situation in season 3 and was damn near crippled as a result, had to actively reshape the way she previously saw herself and gain her strength back while fighting a skilled and technically advanced dictator. Her circumstances were as bad as they got and she made a tonn of personal growth.

Yeah imo the white lotus messed up pretty bad. How is she supposed to be the avatar if she only stays in the south pole. The avatar is supposed to travel and learn about different cultures and people so that they can handle complex political situations they treated her like a puppet to maintain the current order. Is it any wonder she felt confused about her role as the Avatar. I'm sure they meant well but I couldn't help but feel that her mentors were all too often trying to keep her out of their lives until they had a problem they needed her to solve. The girl wanted a mentor figure badly but nobody wanted to do it (except for Tarrlok and Unnalok but they had Alterior motives).

Bro, I won't lie, Aang without the avatar state is an overkill, in the avatar state he becomes a god. That kid destroyed a volcano without the avatar state using Airbending a lone and Sokka had to admit that Aang is OP. The fight with Ozai would have ended sooner if the Aang had the intent to kill.

I hate to be that guy but Aang is not winning against vattu. We can’t compare Unalaq with firelord ozai. Because unavattu is way more powerful. We forget that vattu is HUGE compared to ravva. Which means his power sufficiently exceeds that of avatar Aang and Korra before she fused with prime ravva. The only reason Korra and wan could win with a weak ravva is because they had bending and vattu did not, that’s what gave them the advantage. But here it’s irrelevant. Aang absolutely crushed ozai with the avatar state, Aang is not winning against someone with the same power if not, more power than the avatar state.

I think if aang was in the same spot as korra refusing to remove the poison it would be different than how he behaved in his own series. Instead of a war where the avatar is the only hop, he would be in a world at “peace” where not only people dont need the avatar as much, some actually dont want the avatar to exist anymore. I dont think he would be super excited to become the avatar again

Besides, korra took so long to get healed mentally and she LOVED being the avatar. Aang never wanted it and even actively rejected or ran away from it several times.

You people know nothing about Aang. do you think after losing his people and then getting the Air nation back he would just go hideaway somewhere instead of making sure that they stay safe and making sure that his culture survives. His mission would be to keep the new air nation thriving. And people really need to stop holding a 12-year-old to his season 1 arc OK! 👍 in season 3 episode 1 of ATLA. Aang makes it very clear that he wants to fulfill his destiny and not let the world down.

I would like to see a adventure time video next and I want to hear your thoughts on what if the lich was the final end game boss than Golb. I know we did kind of get that in Together again but I always wonder what if the lich was the end game boss for season 10 and the lich was treated more seriously and makes him more bad as and many people think the lich is a joke character. I personally think he’s a fire villain that should have gotten the thanos treatment of making the lich the big villain.

I do have one other thing to say. Korra and Aang are very different in their playbooks. Korra while younger and making "rookie mistakes" as you call them would be straight forward in all her bending applications which is where Aang was very different. He also learned to think out of the box. His childhood friend Boomie is one example. He used an Air bending tornado to counter a huge feat of earthbending in their match during book 1. His tactics aren't typical and expected as they would be for Korra. I do Agree Aang would have destroyed the 4 antagonists, maybe more decisively than you give the dark avatar credit for. But that's just my opinion i don't see any of them giving Aang any more trouble than Ozai ultimately did during Sozin's comet.

I feel like you’re understating some of the villains. For example UnaVaatu can actually bend all four elements, and you forgot to calculate the other red Lotus members fights with his team. Plus, there’s also the mental aspect, zaheer for example is literally twisting his air bending beliefs into something disgusting, and when he unlocks flight Aang will be force to admit this guy is not 100% wrong.

The red lotus are a bunch of bums. Fraudulent to the highest degree. Tenzin, Tonraq, Zuko and SOKKA were the ones to originally capture them when they were middle aged/near elderly. Unavatuu was successful in separating raava bc she chose to fight in her most powerful state with ONE element. To put it into perspective, imagine if you had to fight Mike Tyson. You’re given a grenade, a gun, and rocket launcher… then running up to punch him.

Both series have great villains, which is a rare thing to see these days. I like TLAB villians a little bit better because I have a soft spot for classic cartoon evil villains that don't need complicated motives or sympathetic backstories, but I still love the villains in TLOK as well. Amon is probably the best in the Korra franchise, but the whole series is above average in TV quality.

What you said about being surrounded by the greatest benders of all time is so true! Meanwhile Korra was no diffing her teachers when they were going 1 vs many at the start of the series. She might have been better than Aang if she had been trained by the red lotus (I feel the red lotus would have been a better fit for Korras personality than Aangs teachers).

Amon don’t take away your bending though you have to be able to energy bend and he don’t know how to he just give you a mental block which cut you off from your ability which mean your power is still there but when you’re getting energy bend the power is gone completely

My only problem with this video is using comic aang for every one of korra’s villains, i personally think you can to approach it with the seasons so S1 Aang for amon (who can still win cause avatar state just breaks blood bending) S2 Aang for unavaatu (kinda unfair tho) and S3 aang for the red lotus with comic aang being for kuvira but i get why you would use comic aang for all

Korra’s villains would’ve never beat her in her prime just like ozai couldn’t beat book 3 aang or comic aang. My point was korra’s villains couldn’t beat prime korra so why would you use prime aang when the argument was never could prime aang wash korra’s villains (cause we all knew he could)

its all plot, i understand in book 1 when she was kinda a novice, but she practically whoop tonrak, (noatak brother) ass the first time, if shen had just paid attention to aang earlier, she would not have gotten bloodbended, or would be prepared for it.

So what I'm gathering is Korra lost fights against her villans not because she was weak (because some of y'all love to act like never beat her opponents in the end), but that Aang would have avoided scenarios that would have led to him losing because she had a better team.

You lost me at trapping the dark avatar surrounded by ice in rocks how does that work exactly it's like you're just making up scenarios for aang to win there's no trapping the avatar only one is coming out of that fight alive aang has to kill vatuu which he wouldn't and that would be he's downfall let's say he managed to trap unaloq in earth what's stopping vatuu from coming out and doing the exact same thing You completely got the last fight wrong Korra didn't try to trap the dark avatar she just pulled him close to Fry he's head off that's no mistake without the spirit magic there's literally no other way for unaloq to escape mako and bolin lost to a sneak attack is katara now immune to getting sneak on toph and katara no matter how powerful can't keep unaloq out of the portal there's too much range he could still get in while their distracted Next you just assumed katara is more powerful than zaheer without taking into account the extremely limited amount of water present Next you wank aangs speed azula and has gotten the better of him multiple times zaheer is already more acrobatic than aang and aang is literally in chains your logic aang in chains can't get tagged by anyone Korra in that scene performed some of the best acrobatic feats in the entire franchise and was extremely mobile there wasn't anything she did wrong your logic is aang automatically performs better

I stopped reading right after I saw you say how does he trap him in rocks surrounded by ice… you realize that Korra was earthbending and sending stones because there was Earth there 😭 Bolin was bending earth there too 😭 Earth was present the entire fight and was available the whole duration too 😭

@@kristbozaia but how do you trap an avatar in earth the avatar is durable enough to rip through platinum with their bare hands if aang tried trapping unavatuu like he did ozai he would just rip it appart with zero difficulty but let's say for some reason he isn't as physically capable as Korra he could still free himself with water bending Water or air bending would be the only possible way to hold unavatuu down and it wouldn't last long either way But let's give aang the benefit of trapping unavatuu in earth what's stopping vatuu from ripping rava apart when aang eventually gets close I understand where you're coming from aang would 100% be able to kill unavatuu but we all know he wouldn't and that would cost him he's life The fight would play out exactly like this aang beats vatuu thinks he has him trapped with Earth bending and then go in to take he's bending only for vatuu to rip rava out the end this is the most likely scenario

@@wolves600 my main point still remains that you can't trap an avatar in rock or any basic elements Korra only stalemated unavatuu in water bending in an attempt to fry he's head off nothing more we are going to have to assume aang would do thesame with another element probably earth since he's so smart in that regard the outcome would be exactly the same vatuu springs out and takes out ravaa

Korra on a normal day beats all her villians. Vaaty would be the hardest.😅 You forget the characters in LOK affected her mentally. And in season 1, Amon was straight up the strongest in that verse at the point.

You're just bias and delusional. So if you put aang in the same situation as the red lotus and he has a lot more control in his avatar state, then how wouldn't he also fail if the poison is killing him slowly as he is fighting the red lotus?? That's literally the purpose and to get him in the avatar state. Plus, vattu still had a greater advantage since he still was a lot bigger and had more power from the last fight with wan. Fusing with Unalaq made him more powerful. Just because aang defeated one powerful spirit with the help of toph doesn't mean that it would work with every other spirit. If that was the case often Korra and everyone else would have taken down the spirits when they attacked after the festival, and why take thirty minutes to defeat a powerful spirit with bending when you can use spirit bending and it takes ten seconds?? You said she made a rookie mistake like she wasn't sounded by nothing but water and ice anyways which Unalaq (who's a master waterbender and spirit bender) would still have the upper hand regardless of the element she used. She wasn't even trying to necessarily subdue him but to bring him back to level.

The difference is Aang can actually catch up to Zaheer. Korra only lost that fight because Zaheer was faster than her and she couldnt catch up until the posion hit her while Aang is significantly faster than anyone in the verse. Also the fact that Aang can fly makes it just as easy to catch up to Zaheer. Also Vaatu wasnt bigger than Raava, He literally got demolished by Korra and even when he fused with Unalaq he was still losing to Korra and also the attack Aang used on the spirit was literally a 4 element attack no non avatar can do it.

I don't think it's true... All Kora's villains will beat aang as we saw in the movie... And seriously I prefer korras fight scenes the only time I've seen aang fighting well is against Firelord apart from that korra always fought better than Him.. and i believe kuvira was stronger than she was shown... Imagine telling the avatar you can use the avatar state 😂... Just shows she was somehow ready for it

@@jthesamurai6102 I think it's just plot armor... because the scene when Korra finally uses it that doesn't feel like a move kuvira will make as she is always trying to avoid and find an opening but suddenly we see her jumping towards Korra.. i was just thinking what was she even about to do. But I think they made it that way so Korra can find an opening to blast her seriously that move made no sense . But the avatar state is something broken so she actually did well against the avatar

Tarrlok no diffed mako+tenzin+lin+bolin and 5 other people+ korra twice and Amon is far stronger(said by Tarrlok)💀💀 the only reason mako was even able to hit him with lightning was because Amon was distracted after dealing with the lieutenant(literally said by creators) and loosened his grip, Amon and even Tarrlok would destroy aang without avatar state just like Yakone💀

⁠@@bluestacks7075 tbh though I don’t think Amon and tarlokk couldnt even beat aang, you said without the avatar state they lose but you forgot that the avatar state is also a defense mechanism theirs triggers to the avatar state one of the triggers is when the avatar is about to die the avatar state is going to activate on its own which completely cancels out Amon and tarlokk blood bending and also let’s not forget the other trigger which is high emotional stress if aang sees one of his friends getting the bending taken away his avatar state is going to kick in like how kyoshi went into the avatar state when she saw rangi grieving face so either or I think it’s still a complete defeat for Amon and tarlokk with or without the avatar state since the avatar state is a defense mechanism when they see the host is about to die or in a high emotional stress situation

Aang gets folded by amon without the avatar state, he loses to unaavatu and gets raava ripped out of him, he isn't surviving the poison like korra and would lose to zaheer, and he doesn't have the power to stop the spirit nuke. Aang loses to all of korra's enemies and you clowns have to deal with it.
