I've been asked many times to do an update on the Fluval Evo aka The SuperSimple Budget Reef, so here it is. The tank has a new home in my Marine Aquarium store with pride of place on my counter. Now you can see it for real whenever you want. #SuperSimpleBudgetReef #AaronsAquarium

I know the current situation is mental... but when are you doing anything on the Flex 123, really interested in this tank and it's looking like it could be what makes me step into the marine world. Cheers! Loving the videos!

I bought this tank for my son. I binned the lid and put a d&d one on it, also upgraded the light. Raised the skimmer up and that's skimming well also.

Looking forward to seeing the progress of both tanks! I've had marine tanks in the past but due to space haven't been able to recently. I'm looking forward to getting my house towards the early part of next year and having a tank like the Evo!

I got round to setting up my Evo that has been sat in the garage for a couple of years at the beginning of this month, then lockdown hit! *sigh* will be getting it stocked one this is all over! haha.

Been watching hours and hours on end of your videos and others before I dive into getting my own reef tank. Yours look incredible and once I’m full of the knowledge needed I’ll purchase my first reefer. Is there any plans of a shop tour as a video?

Did the 123 setup happen? Bought this tank as my first and love the Aaron’s Aquarium videos. Would be super helpful to have a detailed set of videos to know how to upgrade the filtration, wether to go for a skimmer and more about the lighting system 🙏

Ive currently got a tropical tank (flex 15g) and defo wana get into marine tanks , im goin to hold off untill you do the flex 123 marine vids, think tht will b the tank for me , cant wait on you uploadin the set up, and to see what modifications over standard you do !!!!!

Got my Fluval Evo 13.5 now, just need rocks and sand before adding water and start it cycling... After 1mm crushed coral (the stuff you sell) but how much does the EVO need? What are your store opening times? Going try and get down this week.

I can't find a random flow generator that fits fluval evo 13.5. Any suggestions. I've ordered 2. One was huge the other didn't have attachment to put on pump.

@Aaron How can I get some Saltwater fish and coral in South Africa? We have ao little to choose from here... I watch the videos on youtube for easy beginner corral and fish and then I cant find anything in South Africa... Not even online! Now that you have a shop... Will you be able to courier to South Africa? That would be the beat thing ever!!!!!!!! Also good luck with the shop in this time!! I would love to come visit one day!!

Hi Aaron - I notice the black paint on the back of the tank is coming away; can you use those '3D' foam backgrounds as used in a Tropical tank, or are they not suitable? Cheers.

I am looking at getting this tank. I really love the yellow box cow fish. Would this tank (along with some zoas, green tip frogspawn, monti plate and 2 common clowns, a bi-colour blenny or mandarin goby, fire shrimp and a six line wrasse or damsel) be ok to add the box fish as a tank mate?

This size tank recomments 10-11cm of fish with the water volume. 2 clowns, a blenny or a goby or a dottyback and clean up crew would probably be your limit.

Great video Aaron. Looking forward to seeing you setup the fluval 123 litre tank. A quick question, Im doing 10% weekly water changes on my 75 litre tank and my kh is dropping over a week then rising when I do a water change. I need to try and keep my kh stable as I have an acan and frogspawn corals that arnt doing well. Can I order just the fritz kh buffer and dose that or do I need to dose all three Fritz buffers. My kh is dropping from 8 to 7.4 over a week, my calcium is 480. I haven’t tested magnesium yet. Thank you.

If it's only your KH that's moving then just buffer that. You will find though that you will also need to dose Calcium as well.
