Built-in 1962, this multi-level home was sold by the original owners in 2016 to a developer. The home was then rented out to an Asian family by the developer. Scattered on the tables in the kitchen are unpaid bills for water, hydro, mortgage and much more. The family was likely forced out of the home, leaving their belongings behind in the process.

Whoever owns it should fix it up before it’s too late. That place is beautiful, and such a waste when there’s so many homeless out there.

Good tour. Hardly a mansion. The exterior looks from the 60's, but the interior looks more 80's. They must have done a renovation in the 80's. The furnishings are 80's and 90's. The appliances are mostly 80's and 90's. The wood floors are even newer. It's a shame that this house is going to ruin. It's quite a nicely set up house. I'm glad you respect the house and the unfortunate previous owners. It's a shame that there are people stealing things from it. Of course the argument is, what will happen to it, otherwise? I'm sure the bank must own it, and they are partly at fault for its rundown condition. Thank you very much for the tour. Good job! I would have liked to see the backyard. To bad the neighbor's gardeners were at work that day. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next adventure!

Love those 60's split level homes. Lots of space! Thank you for not going through left behind junk! I'd much rather see the house. Beautiful sunroom with indoor grill. Love the many bathrooms. Too bad people have to steal. Gives all explorers a bad reputation. Loved this one, Thanks!

Definitely a unique style of home! I'm not one to go through the random junk, definitely not for me. It's definitely a shame people feel the need to steal things this is why explorers get a bad reputation. Glad you enjoyed!

If they lost it the bank would have foreclosed and sold it by now. It could be an out of country owner that has not been back to the house in a long time. The back yard did not look like its 2 years overgrown, they may still be paying the gardener ?

Everyone always say's "Put the homeless here, they need a home"....There HOMELESS!!! They have no money to rent a one room apartment. To live in a house like this you need a job to pay at the very least the utilities. And no one is gonna say, "Here homeless person, live here for free" Someone has to p[ay the bills and pay upkeep.... I know there are some very intelligent homeless people out there, and very nice people. But sometimes they are homeless for a reason, some just want to be left alone. Most used to have a job, and even families, they just got tired of the responsibilities of life. And though I am adventurous, and think going through these homes is way cool. In reality, the people doing this are disrespecting the owner, and you are trespassing/breaking and entering. And here in the states, in most places, it will get you ten years in jail. I watch these videos to get remodel ideas of days past, storage solutions etc. And I agree with most, that we would like to hear the back story. Is it for sale?, will the property be saved?

It could have been a old person who lost their job and couldn't pay the bills. The spare bedroom may have been used play cards because it chairs and a table. my mom and dad play cards with my mom's sister every Saturday. Thank you for the video.

I can't believe they left behind a Kawai piano..(It's not a grand, it was an upright or studio but not a grand, sorry)...All the items left behind could have been sold or auctioned off..I don't get why they left them..even down to the JA Henkels knives in the block! The wire slider is a space saving device called 'Rev-A-Shelf"..( I installed one too haha) I bet they got in trouble with whatever taxation authority you have up in Canada and had to forfeit it all maybe I don't know.

I agree the fridge is recent. The Thermador double wall oven is early 1970s. The baseboard hot water heat appears to be 1960s. However, the 2 foot by 2 foot floor tile is probably no more than 20 years old.

My educated guess: They were originally from another country who needed a two-year living arrangement in Ontario... and this furnished house for rent fits their needs. That can explain why it appears "everything" was left behind. They did take with them the essential items (ex: clothes, legal documents) as everything else left behind that I see in the video is not that important to take with them, especially if its overseas. I am presuming they moved back to their native land.

that's not an analog clock on the oven. Analogs are the round clocks with hands on them. And the cabinet with the "spring system" as you call it, was actually for a heavy mixer and you could spring it up to the counter level and use it to mix batters such as cakes. That's an Upright Piano not a Grand Piano.
