In this video we tackle the one big job on this beautiful 1992 Toyota Mr2 Mk2 G-Limited, the fuel pump. Then it gets some well needed interior work, some new brakes and I make a solid start on that bodywork.

Yeah!...get that paint job, such a sporty classic looking car. Just the right amount of round and angle. Fuel pump was epic and have to agree...you wouldn't want to attempt it on the ground.Get a swear jar...ask the viewers to match the monthly amount...😂😂😂...you wouldn't have to repair cars...😂😂. Classic swearing phrases too for real..👍. That said , a remapp or fine tune would give this a bit more oomph! Nice work man👍 Can't seem to get to your merch' through the link at the minute. On a budget, I like to squirt a few drips of fairy over a bad seat and then simply jet wash it in/off outside. Works a treat and doesn't cost a penny. Then soak with fabric shampoo-filled water and then rinse under the shower, vac semi dry and then repeat rinse under shower and vac again. That usually brings them back to mint.

This is one of those cases where literally all she needed was a fuel pump to get it running again. Of course replacing the fuel pump is a right bloody bugger of a task. Sounded rough at first but that sorted out later. Jammer! To use the language of your people, this is bloody brilliant mate! Obviously you’re not an MR2 specialist, but your general knowledge of automotive principles and a right willing approach to the task carries you through. Great to see. And yes, cars mysteriously respond to attention. Wonderful, that.

Thing about stuck bolts is, an impact driver is actually a better bet as they're banging on the bolt to get it to break its sticktion, whereas man-handling them will twist them and ultimately snap them, though in either case if the bolt is knackered, or it's steel in aluminium and it's all joined like a vulcan mind meld, it'll break anyway, cos sod's law... :P

31:13 that wire is meant to be bolted on to the top of the engine lid, it should have a sensor plugged in to it which I think controls either the air intake or the cooling fan - I can’t seem to find a definitive answer, but it is best if it’s sorted. Google-fu is your friend. Nice to see one of these being rescued, I had a ‘92 UK GTi-16 in blue about 15 years ago and it was incredible fun. Great videos my man!
