FanTAStic! A double bonus: you're back and you're back with the office make-over we've been waiting for! It looks like such a cozy, warm, comfortable and personalized space. I so appreciate that you show all the snafus that arise, unlike so many youtubers who just go for the glitz. I suppose the rug didn't allow the door to slide?

OMG! You must be sooooo proud! I'm proud for you! Amazing work Harriet! Everything from the lined drapes to the handcrafted buttons - it's all perfect. I'm jealous frankly and I don't even have a room like that. I really love the drapery fabric you chose. Every skill you have learned you have used in this one room. Outstanding. I have a suggestion. You can hang drapes over/in front of your front door as well to help insulate that area. Since you can't insulate the door itself. Think of it like hanging heavy tapestries over the block walls in castles. I've done that in my house. I hung lined drapes over my flimsey, uninsulated back door in my 50 year old mobile home, and it has really helped block the cold air. In the summer I can either push them aside or take them down and store them. Although they will also insulate against the heat as well. It might help in your siruation. Once again, beautiful job in the office. Glad you're back with longer videos.

WHAT AN AMAZING TRANSFORMATION HARRIET!!!... OUTSTANDING RESULTS, AND MAURO CLEARLY APPRECIATES A PERSONAL SPACE JUST FOR HIMSELF. THAT LITTLE HEATER IS AWESOME, THE DRAFT CAN BE CONTROLLED FAIRLY EASILY WITH LESS OPENINGS TO PULL FROM. LOVE THE BARN DOOR TOO.... AND MOST OF THE SUPPLIES ARE FRUGAL AND RECYCLED , AND YOUR OWN LABOR. SAVED A LOT OF MONEY . BE BLESSED.. !!

And the doorway curtains, so lovely. The little stove and sliding door. It's all just perfect. How wonderful that you've created a space together that is so comfortable and so meaningful. I applaud you both. And you've given me some great ideas as well 😄. Have a great week you two!! 🥰

Wow! That looks spectacular! The thing that I love best about your channel is your “can do” attitude. Even if you have doubts about how to do what you need to do, you just go for it, and figure it out. You learn from your mistakes and translate that new knowledge to other projects. You’re really inspiring. Chef’s kiss on the office!

Who would think such a "small" area would be so much work? That tiny wood stove is perfect for the area. Yes, cutting, measuring, tacking and pinning takes far longer than sewing. My least favourite part of making something. The material looks quite sophisticated. Most people wouldn't change the exterior pipes, just "make do" but it still ends up getting done later. Mauro looks so satisfied.👍 Now to get a place for you, Harriet, to enable much better surfaces and storage for the beautiful crafts, sewing. Congratulations 👏. Well done and fitted out.

Harriet if you want to make the window curtain fit the window better and match your other curtains put a trim of the big curtain fabric around three sides. Another advantage would be that it will cause the curtain to hang nicely. You have done an amazing job with this project. I’m so proud of you. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

It all looks amazing. You should be so proud of yourselves. One thing regarding the new fire. If you drill a smaller hole through the wall under the fire, put a piece of copper pipe through and then up to the air intake for the fire, the fire will only pull in air from outside through the pipe. This means cold air doesn’t get pulled through the house, just through that pipe. You can also add an open/close tap to it to adjust the air intake and close it off when not in use. It will keep the house a lot warmer.

When you were filling in the gap with concrete, putting some fine wire or fabric mesh in the gap then applying the concrete to that might save time. Have you thought of trying plastic bottle/concrete construction? It can save you money on concrete. You fill used plastic bottles with infill, stack them using a form to hold them in place, and mortar around and over them. I've seen it used very well in Guatemala. Your work is beautiful!
