Күн бұрын

This abandoned farmhouse sits on a few hundred acres on a country road. Everything is left behind here. Sadly its pretty trashed and the animals have made its way inside.
The man that once lived here was born here. He grew up on the farm and once his parents passed on he continued to farm the land and live here. He wasn't married or had any children but there was quite a few female items was left behind here including a very old wedding dress. He left the house back in 2016 to live in a old age home. Sadly in 2022 he passed away. The future of this abandoned farmhouse is unknown.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Well you also have abandoned homes from elderly couples who their next of kin doesn't do anything with their stuff. I get that you grief but leaving their stuff to decay is just.. not good. At least get the photos. I understand people living until death in isolation, sometimes humanity isnt so kind to these people and they become hermits.

@@Ynalaw lol, only people that Canada will rent that or single white female, but only if the landlord is a sweaty fat older man. Of course there is no abandoned houses in Canada, only land that belongs to entitled middle class douches that will leave it decayed until some other douche will buy it decades after it's fallen to replace it with a mc mansion, ah Canada, land of false opportunity.

These abandoned old farmhouses seem so sad and forlorn. It is as if this house is patiently waiting for the old man who will never return. One thing I especially like about older farmhouses is the wallpaper in the upstairs hallways and bedrooms.

If old houses could talk, I can just imagine the stories this one could tell of a family that lived and made memories there. It is sad for sure to see an old place with all the stuff left behind. It may only be junk or stuff to some people, but every item in a place like that had a purpose and a meaning for someone. Those tiger striped veneer dressers, one still had its mirror, oh those were beautiful and it is a shame that they will probably just rot away, someone should save those and the baby cradle and high chair as well as other items in that house. Thanks for the tour. 👍👍👍

Wow, what an antique lover's dream! 8:05 in that small backroom, that half-round wooden thing in the corner with a handle on the right side! That is a super cool find. It's one of the very first "automatic" washing machines ever made. It would have been on a stand. You put your clothing, water and detergent in, close the lids, grab the handle and swing it back and forth. The half circle was lined inside with ribs of wood. As you rock it back and forth, the friction caused by the ribs, and by the clothes rubbing on each other, would wash the dirt out of the clothing.

Very sad. That's the problem with living longer and getting older, you get to watch those you loved all die off. My own wife died a year and a half ago, and I now have a greater understanding of the incredible grief you endure after such a loss. You can't even imagine it. I see some of these and I know what the person endured, with all their losses and finally their own life winding down. All those memories are now lost in time...

It's the realization "that life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone." I've said goodbye to so many I knew that were youthful in years and spirit, giving their lives in the jungles of Nam for nothing. Years disappear and suddenly you spend more time at memorials and at doctor's offices than in the local pubs. You look around for those you knew but now you stand pretty much alone with not much to do. All those memories are now lost in time... I guess we all have that much in common --- waiting.

A wonderful and very poignant explore. The crib and high chair could well have been the elderly man's very own childhood items. At 10:40, there's a single child's shoe as well. That dress is almost certainly a wedding dress - appeared to date from early 20th century, perhaps 1915 - 1925. It would be wonderful if someone could bring this house back to life again. Your explores, video work and kind, considered commentaries always make for great viewing and much pause for thought - thank you.

Hi Brent, wow I love this one. Little soap and water and a broom, I’d move in. 😉

Brent when you opened the refrigerator I could almost smell the stink lol. So much is left behind and such nice old pieces of furniture as well. What a shame that it’s just going to waste.

That was a color tv. Most people don't live long in a old folks home.

I think the gentleman had a hard time letting go of his parents so he couldn't throw any of their things away. I noticed the mid-century modern curtains and TV on the first floor and then upstairs the curtains and wallpaper looked like it was from the 1930's. His parents didn't want to get rid of stuff either most likely. They could have been very poor growing up so what they had they valued. The son was not well as he got older and could no longer clean the house or do any kind of repairs and when he went into the nursing home the rodents took over and made it look even worse. Lots of very nice antiques that are now useless because I don't know how you would be able to get the urine smell out of that furniture. Could be that one of the distant relatives was trying to pack everything up and just said to heck with it as they couldn't stand the odor. It's sad that he was living alone. Thanks for sharing Brent.
