I did too until this madness penetrated a family member. It's utterly crazy. The reason they want to believe is because it allows them to believe a Bible verse in an English translation in a physical word for word form. It's easier for them to believe the earth is flat than to believe that James IV advisors' collections of Christian writings could have errors or mistranslations or even be meant to be interpreted.

But space doesn't exist unless the sun inside the dome is at its 12 o'clock position and there has to be a full half moon. That is one of the main reasons why the flat Earth is the most stupid thing ever: even in very ancient times when they believed the Earth was flat and it was the center of the universe, they thought that the Sun was REVOLVING around the Earth! That every night it was dipping behind the plane we live on and that it would come back up from the other side. THAT is the basic observation, that the Earth looks flat and the sun is going around it. Except now it is extremely easy to verify that not all Earth is lit at once so you have to come up with the local sun theory to try and fix it not realizing the flat Earth model is already gone, you already lost. The Bible says that the Sun goes around the Earth, you've already given that up but you won't give up the flat Earth. It's ridiculous and pointless.

True! Earth is flat whether you like it or not. Facts don't care about our feelings. There are government and FAA documents that mention a flat, non-rotating earth and firmament. Here's one: CIA RDP86-00513R001343720008-3. Copy and paste that into your search engine and read for yourself. Most round earthers won't read it. The truth scares them, so they remain willfully ignorant. What they fail to realize is that ignoring reality won't spare them from reality.
