Yep, I enjoy driving on country roads for miles without seeing another car...it's a beautiful thing. It's mentally handicap to living in these areas with hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people and expect to be able to reliably drive at highway miles. You live in a concrete jungle, expect animals.

I mean, yes, I do but this is literally what everyone says when something is different here. The city is progressing and growing, the whole country is doing that, Colorado is not immune. Be the city to be progressive enough to have solutions to these problems. Ask our city government to create solutions, whether it be better roadways, more public transit, hell even syncing the damn red lights would be nice.

You want to pass me going 30 miles over the speed limit? Have at it hoss. You're actually doing me a favor by setting off any upcoming speed traps anyway. I give the nuts out there a wide berth.

That is a very adult response and I support it. Doing this takes the agency away from the "driving revenge culture", the people who somehow feel that simplely owning a particular brand of vehicle means without question you are X type of person so therefore I must retaliate in Y manner. One could do this; or take a deep breath, be thankful you have a working vehicle, continue on with your day all the while knowing that whoever just wronged you on the road will continue their narcissistic behavior and it will, let's just say lead to many undesirable outcomes that a person could snively say " Serves you right!"😜

Wow. I just returned to San Diego from spending a week in Denver. I grew up there; left for Socal in 1980. I found driving in the Denver area a weird and challenging experience. Very different from the LA-style traffic I'm used to. One would think "traffic is traffic" but there is something surreal about Denver congestion that I can't quite describe. Even with the Google, the place can be difficult to navigate. I learned to drive there, so I know my way around. (We're talking the days of cruising 16th & drag racing at the I70-I225 junction. ) But that was before an entire section of town was assigned one street name--Inverness. Never thought I'd have to sit through three light cycles to cross East Colfax on Quebec...at 10 on a weekday morning. So I'm here to report that nothing has changed since this story aired.

I've lived in Houston 30 years with the exception of a two year stint from '12-'14 and Houston is literally five times the size of Denver but I was flipped off by another driver 3 times my very first year in Denver which equates to the total number of times in 30 years that I was flipped off in Houston. I think the problem (at least this is my theory) is that people are bringing a small town driving mentality to what is no longer a small town. In Houston on the freeway to change lanes you put on your blinker (or not) and if you're not going to hit anyone you just change lanes. You might slide over and in front of someone 20' ahead of them while going 50 or 60 and nobody thinks about it twice. That's just what you do in a busy freeway. It's like "no harm no foul, we both have things to do and let's get on with life" which is the mentality you HAVE to have driving in a big city. In Denver it was almost like you're insulting them personally; "how dare you change lanes so close in front of me!" Too much small town driving mentality in what is no longer a small town.

Everytime I drive I always see people getting cut off, including doing it to me, for no reason. People riding your bumper, no turn signals, blow through red lights, sit at green lights, run through no turn on red areas, speed passed you on the highway and cutting you off with no signal, because 70-75 mph isn't fast enough for them. Or you get the ones who are already on the highway and they're literally doing 45-50 mph or the ones who get on really slow and continue to go slow on the higway, and sometimes you can't pass. Or the dicks on the highways who refuse to let you in and almost hit you because they're going so damn fast. The speed limit needs to be dropped because NO ONE ever does it. They do almost twice the speed of what's posted or they go so damn slow like they have all the time in the world. I've seen jerks get mad at me, swear and flip me off for no reason at all, and I did nothing wrong. And everytime I go out, there is a 4 way stop at the end of my street and 97% of the drivers don't stop. They either roll right through the stop sign or barely slow down and then go. How important or entitled do you have to think you are, to risk hitting someone, beacuse you think the laws don't apply to you? And don't get me started on the people who have to park cockeyed, take up two spots, park in handicap spots when they're NOT handicapped or park in a space that ISN'T a parking spot or the texters and cell phone jabbers who never pay attention because their lives are so important they just have to be on their phones. Most people SHOULD NOT be allowed on the roads. Almost no one obey's the rules and laws. It's getting worse all the time.

Ting Lee I hear you, I’m a 6th gen Native who also is about to pack up and move north to Wyoming after the Califagian scum have now turned our state into the same nightmare that they ran from.

Aggressive driving should be considered a felony, and immediate jail time in my opinion. Enforcing this hard core could possibly reduce accidents and reckless drivers.

Psycho drivers are the worst. I had a nut case behind me doing all kinds of things. Tailgaiting, flipping me off, honking constantly, and yet I'm the bad driver. And I was going the speed limit. I think she was upset because I wasn't going 15 mph over the speed limit or something. I think some people need to get a psychological evaluation before they get a license.

I moved from a large town with lots of crazy traffic to a small town of 1800 people with almost no traffic. what a relief. also low crime rate, low drug use. nice.

I live in California, I have 4 cameras on my car. I have been approached by really hostile road ragers for unknown reasons, but when they see my cameras (which i point to when they approach) they do mellow out a bit, plus I am 6 foot 5 and 240 lbs. (disclaimer: that's half fat, half muscle).

As a California. I can confirm. But hey us decent drivers are being "trained" to be better drivers than the state's that bitch about our bad drivers. By dealing with them everyday

PhantomRaven Driving in Colorado is bad now all thanks to the influx of transplants, whom primarily are Californians. As a native, I can attest to the fact that before the first big wave of Californian transplants back in the 90s that the traffic here was incredibly pleasant

1. Too many people in the left lane going slow. 2. Too many old people going 10 below the limit and not knowing what's going on around them. 3. People on their cell phones. That's about the entirety of the problems... Lmk if I forgot one.

My parents just moved here and my dad was just telling me how much harder it is to drive here than it is in his hometown Des Moines IA. I told him THIS is part of it, it's all the road rage. Several years ago this state was rated no. 2 for road rage fatalities in the US, when Indiana was #1. I'm not surprised, I went to college in Indiana and I saw a LOT of it there too. Sgt. is clever for patrolling in his unmarked cruiser, so why aren't there more lawmen like him on the roads?
