There's literally no reason we shouldn't normalize diplomatic relations with Cuba. It's one of the few good things Obama did. Trump reversed it and Biden kept it in place along with halting the few good things Trump's agencies were doing. The US government is worse than Cuba. Worse than China too.

In wartime, yes. Since the Rosenbergs, they differentiate between peace time and during war more carefully. The Rosenberg case was a bit flimsy and if it had been a few years later, they probably would have been imprisoned instead of executed. But it was not long enough after WWII ended, and feelings ran high.

Communists are tricky. People call one of the problems we had with them the "Korean Conflict." The tough thing is that the Chinese Communists were there too, but so many people were tricked into believing the story about how the Chinese Communists were neutral. They weren't. That may be why we couldn't win the Korean Conflict.

I lived during the Cuban Missile Crisis back in October of 1962, my sister was just a few months old then. The commander of Davis-Monthan AFB requested police officers to lend a hand and provide my Dad a ride to his work location as the NCOIC of his supply squadron. I though he was being arrested and was going to go to jail. I fought as much as a 6 year old boy might. I laugh about it now and served in the Air Force as well following my Dad's footsteps. Our nation was at closest point of all out Nuclear war and it was on the news every day. President Kennedy made it clear, any missile launched would be considered an act of war of country of the Soviet Union and expect full response for the US nuclear arsenal!! Not sure how that could be anywhere near funny!
