@@lauwphoda Orpheus walked into the underworld trying to save Euridice, so did Hercules when trying to capture Cerberus. You don’t have to die to go into Hades.

@@lauwphoda In greek mythology, the underworld is a physical place that has at least one entrance. If someone opened a deep enough fissure, someone else could certainly fall through it and straight into the underworld. They should die on impact though.

nno you cant actually fall from one realm to another he did actually die. you see him get electrocuted and he tries to grab onto gaiea and falls hes screaming and he hits the ground thousands of feet down and gets transported to the river styx because he died.

Kratos drained his godly power back from the blade of Olympus at the end of God of War 3 as you see the blade stops glowing completely after it like it just shut down

​@@newhybrid101 most of these youtubers pay less attention to novel, they will use it, if something's there to back up their theories. when they make theories they tend to ignore things from the lore, either from games, books or dev statements to make their theories make sense. if they don't then they wouldn't be able to make a lot of their theories.

Kratos was able to climb out of hades not because he’s a god but because he is strong and there’s nothing saying the other gods couldn’t too. The barbarian king climbed out of hades as well in god of war 2 so it can be done by multiple people.

Kratos is also the God Of Death and the “original” god of death was Thanatos but how could of Thanatos have died if he was Death itself. That means theres no other explanation but that Kratos is the God of Death also and that means without Kratos death cannot exist so thats why I believe he cant die.

Exactly, kratos IS dead, his original body is still in the temple impaled by the God of war. People seem to forget that part of his lore. He came back in a new body and as an immortal. Then he was cursed and given God hood, he has layers of immortality, not just one.

All beings in nature cannot be truly immortal, all gods have to have one or more permanent ways to kill them. In Kratos case he has true immortality, but in the sense that he still has to be able to killed/die, so nature's balance can be maintained, then he comes backs. That's nature's loophole.

this isnt true he IS fully imortal but not invincible. Think of baldur cant die cuz he’s invincible/invulnerable kratos isnt invulnerable or invincible but is immortal mraning he could die but not from age or natural cause(also the greek gods are the same immortal but not invincible the only reason they age is cuz they dont have the golden ichor running thru their veins its blood cuz they have worshippers so they dont need the ichor so they age but wont die from it.

Every time kratos dies he gets third party help to progress story. Every single time. I understand let kids be kids, but let's be honest, this is a kids phase like Deadpool was. They'll learn

That is in part to the mythos of his immortality. In greek his immortality sends his renewed body to underworld. The greek mythos actually performs his resurrections for him by killing him.

I know im two months late but yes. Finally someone who gets the point of his curse. Athena, village oracle and Persephone cursed him. And now it all goes to circles. He can be killed but has point for living (Atreus) . Long story short,his curse brings him back to life every time being will for living because of atreus or something else. There is always something that brings him back. Example: if he wasn't cursed ,thor wouldn't bring him back to life....its his unbreakable destiny that every time something happens that brings him back,and so he is cursed to walk the earth forever wearing ashes of family and blades that he can't get rid of

It’s a curse not a gift most of this is correct because kratos tried to kill himself after zues but the curse prevented him. He the wondered Egypt trying all forms to kill himself. He eventually landed up in Norse mythology fell in love with feg and forgave himself of his past sins of killing his daughter and wife with the birth of Atreus kratos now had a reason to live forgiving himself therefor lifting the curse. This is how Thor was able to kill him.

@abdbay One of the old devs was asked about it a long time ago during an impromptu Q&A. At the time, the plan was for the ashes and their curse to serve as a kind of Mark of Cain, if you will. Making Kratos both unkillable and a pariah. This of course also included being unable to take his own life. If you also want a source for ambrosia/ichor, that would simply be Greek mythology itself.

Unfortunately this all means nothing to existence erasure. Jump off the tree unprotected and watch him get erased from existence

I mean existence erasure doesn’t care about immortality. The only reason the other gods die is because kratos blades negate immortality. So use his own blades against him. This isn’t hard stuff. Kratos cannot revive any longer because gaia is dead. His curse was lifted when he forgave himself for the killing of his wife and daughter with the new birth of Atreus giving him a reason to live.
