ABERDEEN is the 6TH largest city by population in the UK, outside England. What is the good and bad side of living here? This video answers the question.

At 3:31 the bridge you show is the "new" Bridge of Don, from 1830, rebuilt IIRC around 1923. The original Brig o' Don lies behind the camera, and is now known as Brig o' Balgownie and has a long (chequered, to say the least) history since Robert the Bruce ordered its construction back around 1320. A condensed version at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brig_o%27_Balgownie The island that is shown in the middle of the River Don has a beach where you can sometimes see seals sunbathing.

So depressing town, the main street is still under reconstruction, other streets are blocked, this is not what you see every day 😢

Quite interesting,however the rainfall stat is completely wrong, Scotland has 8 cities and Aberdeen has the least rainfall of them all and by a considerably amount.

Born & bred Aberdonian here, the city centre has went downhill over the past 20 odd years, union street a once bustling thriving hot spot is now full of either vape, phone, bookies or empty shops. I agree that folk are are quite rude, go anywhere outside of the city and people are much more friendly.

It would be great if they build up the sea front especially for the summer seasons it should be filled with cafes. bars. entertainment venues even needs hotels and b/b it would even look better if they had palms along the sea front deckchairs for rent. turn it into a beach resort centre when the weather is good but even at the Christmas period with Christmas lights. And police officers walking around more.rather than sitting in there cars.

If you'd ever been to Aberdeen you'd understand why that's never happened. It's usually windy and wet in summer except for maybe a few weeks. In winter it's really not nice.

I`ve never found Aberdeen unfriendly. Quite the opposite, indeed. I think it can be culturally limited, however.. .

Aberdonians are friendly but the visitor has to make the first contact. They’re not very “outward” in that respect. I lived there for 40 years and can vouch for that. But once you get speaking to them they are as friendly as you can get. Don’t do their city down though, as that will be very upsetting for them.

Your sound quality is a bit dodgy. Aberdeen is a beautiful city btw. Using an old black and white picture to illustrate that the city is grey is kinda cheating.
