I have requested this version of this song that has sustained me and will be my last testimony to loved ones and friends to find the peace I have found.

I first heard this hymn at Wembley at the cup final in 1971 as a 10 yr old with my father,I'm 60 next year and I've never ever forgotten not only what a wonderful hymn it is but how powerful it is as well,the story behind it is so sad,my grandparents both had this played at their funerals,and I will have it at mine,even today when I listen to it,it brings back happy but also sad memories and I get help but have a tear in my eyes.

Hallelujah. My faith in the Lord enables me to believe that my deathday is better than my birthday. Thanks be to the Lord my God and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was an honour to have sang this beautiful hymn in a girls high school choir at a World War memorial dawn service 45 years ago (my first year in HS).. Still brings back vivid memories when I hear this song. Thinking of all those who lost their lives during the war, the choir mistress (Sr Clare McInerney ) as well as the song's composer. May their souls rest in God's loving peace forever.

This song means a lot to me. I used to hear it sung as young a girl. The words are powerful and very touching.

The 1st time I heard this music I was 11 years old, it was plying in a small church in Claremont, this was at my best friends funaral he was only 9 years old. he was run over by a milk lorry right in fron of me. I will never forget this till my dying day, I'm now 70 years old.
