ABSTRACT Interlocking 3D Logo on Canva (Using shapes for gaps)

Күн бұрынJoin me as we create an interlocking 3D logo that has gaps or spaces overlapping in the design. We use shapes to achieve this and the background tool to remove the shapes from images. To upgrade and try this out, you can use my referral link below and Canva will offer you a trial. We use Canva and we convert the logo to 3D using the Photopea tool.
My whole premise is to see how we can use Canva for designs usually only could be done with sophisticated tools like Illustrator, Affinity, Gimp etc. For us who really can't afford them 🙂.

01:01 Add a second rectangle to cover the H letter
01:51 Copy and duplicate the first pole design
02:00 Create the windows of the real estate design

04:32 Add the roof & size it
04:56 Create the interlock using the shapes
06:52 Create the interlock on the image (roof)
08:00 Download the 2D logo design
08:11 Add the second blank page and upload the 2D logo to the blank page
08:30 Remove background on the 2D logo image
08:56 Download the image 2D logo as transparent
09:23 Access Photopea and change the logo to 3D using the PSD Templates
09:42 Select a PSD mockup template
10:19 Double click on 'Your Logo Here'
10:26 Hide the text
10:30 Upload your 2D logo design from Canva & size it
10:56 Save as a smart object
11:00 Click on Logo mockup
11:10 Download/ export 3D logo

Hello, 📍 With the March 2023 Canva updated version, Canva recently had an update on their system, and this video was created a year ago. That's the reason it's not picking up the cover ups when download. For a workaround, revert to the old Remove BG if it's available or use www.remove.bg to remove the white covers after adding the slash. I made a quick solution to this video a few weeks ago. We usually use mockups to show the client an end result of what the logo might look like outside a shop at the mall etc. Print is an interesting topic, let me research a little bit and I'll create a video for us next week, during the week as this topic it's coming up frequent now on our channel. Hi Jackson, I've only used Adobe Photoshop (paid) and Photopea (free). Try not to use Photopea on the App it doesn't work well and is extremely slow compared to on browser. Also be patient with some PSD mock-ups they take time to load, when I record I have to fast-forward the video as no one wants to waste time watching a Mockup loads when they are learning a skill 🤭 If you want to be adventurous, you can try these alternatives shared on Google: Photopea Alternatives and Competitors Gimp. Pixlr. Fotor. PicMonkey. Befunky. Adobe Photoshop Elements. piZap. FotoJet. Affinity Photo Best wishes 👊🏼

Make sure you are using Photopea on browser and not their App. It should work, try starting with their templates as that's easier and then you can graduate to your own templates. Best wishes.

Hi Sonu, I absolutely get inspiration from other logos I see and mix with my own spin on it. Dribbble, KZfaq and other platforms help a lot. However, my whole premise is to see how we can use Canva for designs usually only could be done with sophisticated tools like Illustrator, Affinity, Gimp etc. For us who really can't afford them 🙂.
