Create 🧩 Interlocking Letter LOGO design with Canva - 6 Steps

Күн бұрынJoin me as we create a logo with gaps or spaces overlapping in the design. We use the brush tool, and it is a Canva Pro feature. Canva recently had an update to.their system, and this video was created a year ago that's the reason it's not picking up the cover ups anymore. For a workaround, revert to the old Remove BG if it's available or use www.remove.bg to remove the white covers after adding the slash. I made a quick solution on this video a few weeks ago. By the way if you are looking for the mockup itself, I've loaded it on www.photopea.com/ and there's a lot of mockups there to assist as well without downloading them to your computer/phone.

Thanks for sharing this tutorial. QUESTION: If you want to do this with whole words, do you have to do it letter by letter as a png. Example: in big letters: HELP and then in cursive Me on top. would I need to make each letter in HELP and each letter in Me a photo to do this or can I make HELP one photo and Me another photo and edit.

What an interesting idea, love it. It would depend on where you would like the ME to interlock on HELP. The technique can be done with either options, you just need patience and precision, but if I was designing it, I think it would be easier if you png each letter for better movement on your design 🤔.

I am trying to do it your way individually, but keep getting error saying does not recognize background when I try to use transparent eraser. 😖😫 Will keep working on it to Figur out what I am doing wrong and let you know how it goes. 😬

Hi Ruth, the functionality on mobile is not yet available. I just tested it now and as it turns out Canva only has it on PC. I hope they bring it soon 🥺

Hey Asian R, I'm not sure your question but I'm going to think your referring to the mockup we used to convert the 2D logo to 3D glass effect? We use a Mockup that I've loaded on Photopea so that you don't have to hassle with downloading it and you convert it to 3D. If I'm mistaken, please elaborate on your question so I can assist.

Hey, I just tested my magic eraser after seeing your comment and mine works. Make sure you image is the correct size and your internet connect is ok. Otherwise if you are still struggling with this tool log a call with Canva Support, I know they are rolling out a lot of changes so that might be affecting it on your side. www.canva.com/help/contact-us/

What is the dpi for the files created in Canva?

Canva's JPG, PNG, and PDF standard downloads at 96 DPI. Whereas, it's 300DPI for PDF, print downloads. As it stands if you want 300DPI for PNG and JPG you have to download it as PDF and then convert it to PNG.

Tons of people use their Canva designs to sell on POD sites that require much, much higher dpi than 96 - I wonder if they are aware of those files they download from C are only 96 dpi. How to convert from pdf to PNG, and could it have the transparent background after converting?

Hi Lavanya, thanks for watching. I get this a lot. It's probably because you've missed a step of not adding your 2D. I've created videos for Photopea you can check on my Playlists, alternatively I'm sharing the steps below, also if your a research learner and prefer an eBook, I've created that as well and you can purchase it here stan.store/Learnwithzar Steps: Step 1 - Design 2D logo on Canva, download on your Gallery if using a phone or downloads on your computer Step 2 - Go to Photopea and load the PSD mockup or access the PSD Templates Step 3 - Then, select File > Open & Place and go find your downloaded logo on downloads / gallery Step 4 - Size and center your logo Step 5 - File > Save as smart object Step 6 - Click on the Mockup tab to view your design (first tab on top) Step 7 - Export your 3D logo design as png/jpg Best wishes and let me know how it turns out.

Hi Hummy Gaming, Pleasure, We get this issue a lot. Go to File at the top of the page and scroll down to Export and you can select the type of file you want, it could be PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF etc.

If you're using Canva free account make sure you use free elements and there's no need to pay when downloading. When using Photopea, there's no fee when downloading too.
