Mungo Jerry are a British rock band from the 70's. "In The Summertime" was their biggest hit. I remember this fun catchy tune & it brings back good memories. They had some other songs mostly popular in the UK such as "Baby Jump", "Lady Rose", "Alright, Alright, Alright", "You Don't Have To Be In The Army To Fight In The War" etc.

The weather wasn't the only thing that was high in 1970 😋 This record eventually sold 30 million copies. Takes you right back to that summer.

Mungo Jerry are the band. Ray Dorset is the singer. Still going in 2023. In the summertime was their first number 1. Folk/ jug music. Listen to their second number 1, Baby Jump, complete opposite, hard hitting rock. They had many hits in various styles of music.

Such a great beat, and so catchy. Just a nice, happy sound. 'Una Paloma Blanca' by George Baker selection is also a fun, bouncy tune that has been an international favorite for fifty years. I'd like to see you react to it, as well.

That’s called scatting when they vocalize without words. I love this song, but the line “if her daddy’s rich, take her out for a meal, if her daddy’s poor just do what you feel” always bothered me I mean us poor chicks like being wined and dined too! 😂
