Lol the queen was on the frame as you were saying you weren’t looking for her. It’s amazing how you can tell your mind that and can look right over it. I do it all the time.

It’s hard to get my head around the magnitude of your operation. Watching you go through the everyday workings of a business with its good times and it’s bad times and how you persevere is remarkable. As a hobbyist it’s ok for me to understand the lingo but to comprehend the time frame from winter to spring to fall to winter in your world… I can’t. What I do see is perseverance and as a Canadian that is encouraging.

Now I'm starting to understand a hive I had one year that I named Frankenhive. I added a new queen, who would be laying away, and they would supersede her. The new queen they made would start laying, and they would supersede her! This went on for several iterations until they finally settled on one.

Here also nice weather for bees .. indian.. state Punjab. Now in fileds 🌽🌽🌽,,. And bees are so happy 😁😁😁 and doing so well ❣️❣️❣️

These new queens seem to be doing great! :) Wonder how Italian queens fare in Canadian winters 🤔 I decided to take a look at my mating nuc. After opening 3 and seeing no eggs I decided to give them another week. The anticipation is kinda stressful 🤣. We have a flow going on now, the supers I gave them are getting slowly drawn. Just waiting on the basswood to bloom for things to get interesting!

Can you explain these supercedure cells you removing ,do they have eggs or lava in them?

lots of trouble with queens down here this year. the bees just dont seem happy with them

I’m wanting to try your style of using combined nucs with honey supers on top. Never done it and nervous about the queens being killed during the combine. Any tips ? ? or just throw the supers on and go to the lake?
