Great video!!! You tested almost everything except the top usb c and more importantly the headphone jack hahaha. I am going to use it with my ipad pro so would like to know how well thank headphone jack works! Great video regardless!

I've mostly been looking at SSD external hard drive to use as storage for say my movies or my digital books or music. However I really like the idea of this being a hub and now I'm also wondering if you can use it as a hub without having the ship in it?

Does the power delivery port also support data transfer. For example if we had it connected to a display that delivers power via usb-c would it also drive that display.

I’ve been searching and still can’t find if the SD slot is UHS-II compatible. That’s a huge thing for me, and why I got the Caldigit SOHO hub. But I’d love to have both the NVME drive and the headphone jack, so I can edit my videos with no audio latency.

Hi there !! Is there any 2TB SSD with low power consumption that you know of, that can work on the M1 Pro without the extra power adapter??🙂 I read this hub uses 5v or so; so perhaps a 2TB SSD that can work with that amount of power from the M1?? What are your thoughts of the ACASIS after having it for long time now? There are several complaints about it on Amazon that after long use, some ports do not work or the HDMI never really worked well. I was really looking forward to getting the ACASIS but cannot decide since there are complaints on Amazon about it? Your thoughts? Thank you

Connected ethernet - no computers see it on network; M.2 is intermitent - somes it see it and most times it doesn't.

Your HUB got hot because you did not install the heat transfer strips.

how does that makes sense? the aluminium case is meant to transfer the hear to the outside air. maybe the ssd is just to hot, from being overclocked to get the fast read speeds

@@godsinbox After the SSD is put in place you are supposed to put a piece of tape over the SSD that helps transfer the heat away from the drive to the case. In the video he skips this step.

What happens when you connect it? Are you using an nvme drive?
