i have had a problem with my tendon in my right arm, and i arm wrestle with some people but I'm so weak and i felt the main pain when i train my triceps but i watched a video of yours and it turns out to be a pronator muscle in forearms (I don't remember the name LOL) but your very helpful and this helped and relieved me so much and after this i took a full week of, light weights only. so now i take two weeks of light weight and 6 weeks of normal heavy weights. and thanks again you're a great you-tuber and a coach wish u best of luck

Arm wrestling seems to put extraordinary pressure on the tendons in short bursts. For golfer elbow from paddle boarding, I try to frequently work out my tendons at 1/5 th heavy training weights. I do 1 rep of 10 to 20 curls thirty times a day. This levels up the baseline. I mix it up with full training three days a week but still do the other 30 reps.

I know a lot of arm wrestlers just have tendinitis, which is the temporary acute pain that is discussed in this video. But a lot of arm wrestlers and a lot of commenters here have tendinopathy, which is chronic pain from damaged tendons. Tendinopathy may be more common than tendinitis. Treatment for tendinopathy is very different. Bottom line is that tendinopathy never heals. But, recovery is achieved by doing careful specific training to build new tendon around the permanently damaged parts. Over time, your tendon can be stronger than it was before the injury. But the worst thing for tendinopathy is rest. You need to be on a program that carefully builds the tendons using isometric and eccentric exercises. Then, as the tendon strengthens, heavier loads and explosive movements can be added to rebuild tendon elasticity. All the people here who are talking about how a year of rest did nothing to fix tendon pain…you’ve got tendinopathy and rest is the exact wrong thing to do to recover because you are just allowing a damaged tendon to weaken through lack of use.

Hello Coach Ray, Thanks for sharing the workout plan. I have 2 questions - 1. What does "intensity 80% - 2 reps left" means. Is it that we can leave 2 reps. 2. Every week its till day 3. Are these consecutive days or with one day gap. If consecutive then for rest 4 days, is it rest ?
@voiceofarmwrestling
@voiceofarmwrestling 5 жыл бұрын
You do your training how you want. You can do all days one after other or take day rest between. 2 reps left meens just that do exercise with weight that you could do two extra reps with good form. Thats how you messure intensity.

I like the Devon Larratt style of training, using a table, pulley system and a Multispinner and Karate belt. Can I do this everyday as long as I feel fairly fresh and don't have much pain in my tendons? Is there a certain volume and intensity that I should not exceed, if I exercise everyday, to avoid tendon injury?

Hey coach ray i really hope you will see this i was wondering about your opinion because i injured myself armwrestling 2 years ago i got a shoulder surgery about 2 years ago where they shortened my bone of the top on the shoulder, so i was recovering and later on went to physiotherapie. I eventually stopped going cause i was bored of it cause i was lifting really light weight on high reps and i started armwrestling with my arm. everything was fine at first but after some time i armwrestled a lot and im new to the sport i armwrestled several days in a row and on the last match i i was hooking in a defensive way with all my strength (without my pronator turned and not turned away from my hand) and suddenly i felt a slight pain in my shoulder and stopped so i got tendonitis on my biceps tendon ive been having it for 2years now and dont know how to fix it i tried resting but when i started armwrestling again it the light pain came back ever since my arm feels way weaker than before. How do you think i can fix it?

I don't think I pulled a tendon but when my wrist bends in the direction of my knuckles, or in pronation, there's a lot of pain and sometimes very slight crunching. Can anybody suggest what I can do to heal faster? I lose muscle pretty fast when I stop training, so I'm hesitant to drop the workouts. But I also don't want to make the injury worse. I have been using slightly lighter weight with some wrist support and pushing through the pain.

I have a 7mm tear in the left elbow in the common extensor tendon two years and not changed size though it has gone from 3mm to 2mm thickness. I had a 6mm tear in length and 3mm thickness in the right elbow same tendon but now its 11mm and 0.5mm thicknesses. And that's been a year a d a half that side since tested previously. I have not been training in the gym, just living my life normally and I surf and swim and only do push-ups and body weight lunges now. Its been two years and almost no healing. If you have any suggestions that dont cost a fortune that be a big help. Note: surgeon says i am not a candidate for surgery and should heal but its not really healing the way it seems from the last ultrasound. Any help greatly appreciated
