Sharing the art portfolio I submitted to my colleges when applying--a mostly rejected art portfolio done as a non-art major!

Thank you so much. Art portfolios not for art colleges are just so hard to find online. Plus there are so many people saying we can’t do art other than realistic rendering of figures and landscape. I’m so glad my style is similar (but different from) to you and your art portfolio is accepted by Harvard. Just gives me a lot of hope.

Hi Stephanie I loved your art, the messages and aesthetics were very inspiring. I was wondering as an international student applicant, how I could use some of my art in the application process to a non-art major. Where would I upload it? Is there a section in the American application or was it specific to your college? I’m a UK student about to apply and help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you so much !! hm, in my case, i would read the instructions of the individual schools which is online of course (as they always vary) but most times i would click through the common app that "yes, i want to submit an art portfolio to this school" and it would direct me to the instructions of that school or slideroom, the site that many use to submit art. im not sure how it changes for an international student, but you could look at FAQs or ask a teacher/counselor at your school. hope that helps and good luck!

thanks so much!! not at all, it is completely optional to submit an art portfolio to any schools, I would think of it as just a bonus
