A.I Those guy's were absolute game changers on how long range rifles are constructed (the green meanie) not bad for a couple of guys in a shed in England. 👍

i use my AT for prs type shooting great gun just got myself a AWM 338 about 2 months ago only had 200 rounds through it ive put 60 through it just made a few loads for it looking forwards to getting out and seeing if they are any good

Joel, grab up an Ebrake for your Sandman. Just bought one and it actually works pretty well at reducing recoil. I bought the Nomad version and it helps secure my mirage cover and also makes my suppressor look like a penis.

Please keep up the stage analysis videos, they are invaluable. Oh, and just ignore the haters! If the individuals you pick watch the channel, they will learn what they are doing wrong, and improve as shooters. We don't know what we don't know, right? Nobody has probably bothered to point out where they are going wrong, you are an educator, and you are doing public service broadcasting!...

I have an AT with a Gradous 6.5CM barrel and it shoots amazing with Hornady Factory 140 ELD-M. But Im running low on that ammo and will be reloading it soon. What bullet are you using for that rifle?

Using the factory Berger 140 grain match. Runs great! Usually better than 1/2 MOA if I do my part. No drama.

I'm kinda new to precison rifle. Is it less accurate than a "competition" rifle? How come we don't see them used in the comp world?

Almost Tactical it would be just as accurate with hand-loaded ammo. Better than 1/2” groups with factory boxed ammo. I think the main reason you don’t see more of them in PRS comps is because of the trigger. This is a 3.5lb two stage trigger whereas most comp guns use a single stage set at 1lb or less. Ergonomics are an issue too. The AI shines in the prone position or attached to a tripod. Comp guns have wide flat bottoms and a central balance point that help with positional shots. You can make an AI into that, but most people just build a custom gun and call it good.

U mean the AK of the bolt gun world. Very, very few rifles than can do what the AI can do, Barret, PGM Hecate and the SVD series are the varieties that we encountered that are truly reliable. I’ve seen SVDs cleaned and lubed with motor oil. In my country when I served in the military we used the AWM model 338 the 308s were for training but now we use the Blaser LRS2s also in 338, because 338 is superior in all principles of anti-personnel, other calibers are just a gimmick or a training round. One of the requirements of the AI came from the Swedes who requested a rifle to make conscript soldiers shoot with the best very quickly, AI produced the a rifle you could point and shoot. I believe ur country has been courting the AI and the 338 since the 90s for a number of years but instead stuck to Remington unbreakable contractural arrangements.

Masterpiece Arms competition chassis can be inlet specifically for the AI AT.

Yeah I’ve seen that done. I personally like the AI chassis and the ability to change the skins to different colors. Plus I’ve already got a complete MPA build for a competition gun. The AI is all about utility for me.

Who can afford these things??? I got a decent job working for the government and I can’t afford to drop 3000 on a rifle and another 3000 for an optic. Not to mention 150 plus for rings and 100 for a mount. Then another 200 for a trigger and 300 for a bipod!

Playn Hardball they are expensive no doubt. I’ve been saving for this gun for 3 years. I just set money aside after I sell other gear/guns. Also go read “total money makeover” by Dave Ramsey. No kidding, changed my life.

Playn Hardball, what vehicle do you drive? How often do you change it? How much do you pay every month for TV subscriptions? I drive a 10 year old Volvo, I've had it 7 years. I don't intend to change it until it stops working, or falls apart. I don't have any TV subscriptions, but I DO own an Accuracy International AT (Couldn't justify the extra cost of the AX) and on the top sits a $2,500 Vortex Razor HD scope, mounted in Badger Ordnance rings. We all make choices in life, I chose not to have a new car, I chose not to have 10 million TV channels. I CHOSE an Accuracy International AT over those things. IF you want one, it is possible, but, as my parents said to me, "You cannot have everything". Choose what is more important to you, but don't bellyache about the choices you make...

Comparing an AI to a Glock was just a plain insult, looool (you could at least have used an HK USP or P226 for that purpose). I owned and AT and an AX. Currently have a TRG22 for a Gen purpose rifle but secretly miss the AI's a little, more specific, the mags and barrel change ability. Wish they would make AI in a conventional stock.

@@PrecisionRifleNetwork Is that a LW barrel or did you get it with a Bartlein 6.5? Where did you get it? Milehigh or Eurooptic? I am considering getting one again, this time a 6.5 right of the bat instead of a 308 and would like it to come with a Bartlein barrel, skipping the Lothar Walther part (not a fan). After having owned the AT, AX and now a TRG-22, the AT is the best value and most solid rifle to get imho. Thanks for all the work you put in these videos, great reviews.

@@vnohelix it's the Lothar Walther barrel on mine. Shoots lights out. I'm sure I'll switch to bartlein though when I have to re-barrel. I got mine from Mile High, but I would recommend Rex at Nomad Development Group. Tell him I sent you and you might get the "good guy" price. No guarantees though. www.buildnomad.com The website won't look like it, but he sells AI.

Throw it in the mug, then run it. If it don't work. Meh, better find something that does. Seems this one will. Heck, real-world use is all that matters. Boutique rifles are just that, keep behind glass. Goes for scopes too.

LOL that's a very positive reference for me. I think Glocks are excellent guns that always go bang when you need them to. Dependable, reliable, functional. The standard. All these things are very positive.
