A true fluency is achieved once you can converse comfortably. I know most of these words but I freeze up when I try to speak in English. Or, tried to pronounce the words properly as accents are also a thing. Like, my brain knows how it should've been pronounced but my tongue is just not used to speak things that's inconsistent with how they're written.

@@yunan9610 Agreed, which is why practice makes perfect. It's not about perfecting the way you spoke, it's about practicing your language skills in a conversation to the point where not only your words makes sense to the communicant, but you can also learn what kind of words would those communicant used when speaking back to you. The consistency would led to a more comfortable way of exchanging opinions, perspective, and views in a conversation.

@@eidrylalegre6630 I don’t see any faults with the grammar though? “You shouldn’t trust everyone. Don’t be so trusting.” is grammatically correct. It’s just a really poor short sentence, and would be better with a noun such as “Don’t be so trusting of others.”

English was not my first language and over the years I had the habit of looking up the meaning of words I did not understand on dictionary. Thanks to internet and google this practice is a lot easier to do now. One tip I can share is try to understand the meaning of phrasal verbs or phrasal words. It will definitely increase your vocabulary. Happy reading! 🙂

Lisa, you are great! I live in usa for 25 year , in SF Bay area. I am russian Doctor of Tech. Science, Professor, 73 year old. I present myself for you to understand me better, not because I want to boast. I will never know English well enough. I risk to say, that for IT professional is not really necessary, but being professional, i respect professional. That is why i write to you even if i understand, you will find mistakes in my writing. Most important, i hope, you will catch the sense of what I say. With all my respect Yuri
