Lisa just focused on the language lesson. That is how the journalists should report the news; with no bias, at least, with no explicit partiality.

In the USA the journalistic culture or actual media business has become significantly different from the traditional journalistic ethical ideas and ambitions. It doesn't sell well, if you don't pick sides and push some agendas. Unfortunately also non-commercial news organisations are affected by some economic or political pressure. BBC is a widely known example of such struggles. It has become rare for political parties to really support open and balanced news reporting. In authoritarian countries it is clearly much worse.

IIt is odd that at this moment in time we would have an "advanced vocabulary" using the 2024 presidential debate. I'm glad she didn't focus on what they were saying. Trump speaks the common language when he answers and doesn't try to impress anyone with high level speach. As for Joe, he's lost of great deal of brain cells and can't articulate as in 1997. As for Lisa, I think she's one of the great teachers I've seen.
