The ACEBEAM H30 headlamp really surprised me. I was contacted by a rep for the company who asked if I'd like them to send me some of their headlamps. I said no. She wrote again. She said she had a headlamp that is probably good for every activity. I looked it up. WOW. If the specs were true, it was an incredible headlamp. Of course I couldn't assess the build-quality without seeing one. I said, OK, please send this H30. It arrived in about a week at our home in Thailand.
I go out often to look for snakes and other wildlife in the rainforest. I thought this could be good for that, if nothing else.
I was VERY SURPRISED. This headlamp has just become my instant favorite. As long as it lasts, I'm going to rate it as more useful than my Petzl or OLight headlamps, and I love some of them. This H30 is very useful because it's so bright and the battery lasts so long. Not to mention the green, red, ultraviolet and CRI 90+ options you can get for it.
This is a Chinese brand with the company headquarters in Shanghai. I don't like that idea, but when I saw the build quality of the unit, I was blown away. Very solid. Well made. The various functions are perfect for many activities. It's priced right. See it at Amazon here -
