I sorely regret giving this away to a friend, it was working perfectly and I babied it. I truly thought the rotating camera would have been seen in more models to follow from different manufacturers (I thought it was a great idea) but it didn’t work out that way from the looks of it Paid about 729 at circuit city and they had a special where I got a free printer and case logic laptop bundle

Just got one of these from a charity shop for £30. My one is one of the base models or at least an early example (as far as my research can tell) as it is lacking the rotating camera but other than that is the exact same as the one in the video. Mine was running Windows 7 Home Premium from a sort of restore disc as it had an Acer related logon screen and still had some remnants from its Windows XP days left behind (Adobe Acrobat 5.0 comes to mind). I've upgraded it to Lubuntu 22.04 and it runs like a dream and is great for exploring the internet and streaming content. I really want to use an SSD on it and upgrade it from 2gb RAM to 4GB so it can be slightly nippier but otherwise it meets my needs for an old school laptop.

4 GB Ram is better and you can use linux mint. It's not very fast in Win10 x64. And if you really want to use it more , use it with a ssd drive :) I'm still using old computers and I've got Asus f3s and Acer Extensa 5630 ..

Hi, I have an Aspire 5633 and I bought a Kingston 480 GB SSD. The bios does not recognize it, it does not see it. The drive is fine as you tested with a SATA to USB adapter. In the advanced tab I have no option to change anything and I have no password protection in the bios. The bios does not see the disco. I tried it cloned and without cloning. Is there a way to change options in the advanced tab or some step that I don't know about. Do you know how to enter supervisor mode? The bios firmware version is 3.60, the latest. I had to leave it as impossible. I hope you can help me. Greeting.
