I don't know what you mean with '' unique'' cause everybody is unique in their playing even if you just keep playing Blues you are unique but if you mean to come up with a completely unique style unfortunately that mix exists already it's fusion check Macalpine,Greg Howe,Frank Gambale,Oz Noy......

The clarity with which he moves up and down the scales is to be admired. As a guitarist of 15 years, this takes an incredible amount of precision, and keeps reminding me to keep practicing.
@bsnf-5

Time don't matter as much. I've been playing guitar for more than 15 years, and I still can't play many techniques and I struggle to solo over more complicated standards (like for example Giant Steps). Like you said, practice is crucial, and I don't really like to practice. Lead guitar is tough, especially in jazz. In rock and blues you don't need that much knowledge and theory (although practice and skill still applies, just lower level of intellectual effort).

Jazz is a style of music characterized by the blending of several different time signatures that creates a unique feel. Though complex, jazz is instantaneously recognized for its complexity and its mood/tone. This is a very great improvisation that passes the time quickly due to its fluidity and cleanness. Very impressed with this!

Jazzstandards eben im richtigen Jazzsound zu spielen, mit allem was dazu gehört (coole changes/solos, tension, arpeggios, flowing lines, guitar octaves a la Wes Montgomery/George Benson), all das lernt man hier. Thanks Charles, what I want to achieve with my improvisation is to work out the character of the jazz standard. The most important part is the melody, which makes the song unique. You have exactly hit the most important point. The old jazz guitarists like Herb Ellis, Jimmy Raney, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt always followed the melody in their improvisations. All the best for your playing!
