Yep, this is unreal. BF 2042 that looks like trash and plays like trash is running on 25-30 FPS constantly for me, while this masterpiece is running with 60 fps without any problems, even when there is 20+ people on one point with explosions, shooting, lightsaber action etc. It's crazy how good you can optimize the game.

Instead of BF3, they could've have kept updating BF2, I mean look at the performance and graphics. Modders are doing an incredible job, BF2 was great, but there was so much potential untouched

We could have both an update for battlefront 2 with more characters and battlefront 3 with more heroes (and villains)and more maps

@@andrewbennett1776 they made BF2 purposely obsolete. From a financial aspect it wouldn't make sense to add more stuff to BF2 and then release BF3. Right now they want people to forget BF2 , so that there's a new hype and reason to release BF3.

Imagine galactic assault, supremacy and space battles being played at the same time In the same match, with all the vertical depth you get...imagine the kamino invasion, or the coruscant battle

The Galactic Contention mod for Squad scratches that itch for me even though they're on planets honestly. You still take off from big ships and stuff

@@ebukaobieri Well to be fair Star Wars is supposed to be like a galaxy that is based heavy on realism at least when it comes to appearance. It's supposed to look lived in that is why all the weapons and ships have their designs.

From what I read too n1 starfighters are super top of the line, but super expensive to make, which is the only reason they weren't mass produced. Cockpit view is perfect

The X-Wings look like ships that were only designed for space combat because I guarantee you that shit will not fly properly in an atmosphere with wind resistance. There is a reason real fighter jets are sleek and aerodynamic. Unless they have some kind of weird gravity field that alters wind resistance. Its ironic that the real world fighter jets in Top Gun Maverick look so much faster and more nimble than the 'futurustic' star wars fighters. I guess it just goes to show that Star Wars has always been more of Space Fantasy than actual science fiction. Don't get me wrong, there is no issue with that. But after watching Top Gun Maverick I realised that the dog fights in Star Wars could be so much better.

One of the things they did worse is the sense of depth and distance while flying. In this game you know exactly where stuff is, while sometimes in squadrons it can be hard to do. Lego SW TSS is awful on that front lol

Only games that focus on Naboo are old as dust (in game years). Hopefully the mandalorian will bring back more attention to Naboo though.

They 'gave up' because of Battlefield 2042. In fact they stopped the support for both SWBII and BFV so that they could work on BF 2042.

Definitely a solid successor to the og.

I could never really get into it because of how imbalanced and clunky the gameplay was, especially vehicles and the heroes.. And also the level design with all the narrow passages with so much action that it severely limited your impact as a player and things felt way too random and luck based. Have they improved on those aspects with updates?

It's not like it's without good cause. Ea was named worst company in America twice in a row before this game ever released... they had basic things like Darth vaders breathing that had to be petitioned into the fucking game.... it's more just the acceptance of the objective truth that rly makes ppl take the negative stance they do bcs it is objectively a bad game all around.. it's like comparing a turd and a polished turd and saying the polished turd gets a pass bcs its polished so it's not THAT bad but In reality it's just delusion they're both turds when it comes down too it.

I played the 2005 one before the new and I loved that mechanic going in and out the capital ships. I was DAMN DISAPPOINTED the new one wasn't like that, I loved it. I mean, they did it in 2005, they were going to do it in BF3 around 2007 and they didn't do it in 2017...it's dumb AF.

funny enough, around the same time, battlefield 2142 had a "titan" mode which basically saw ground forces and air forces trying to down eachothers titan ships

​@@brainhungry98 Actually i do, too. Episode 1 was more like a "finding-process". Where are the characters situated in the universe? What are their motives etc. Although highly debatable thanks to Qui-Gon Jinn we got a glimpse on the Gray Jedi. But apart from that they did a really good job in establishing new things while also building on already existing stuff. I guess my only real grief is the pacing of Episode 1, some cheesy lines and the introduction of Midi-chlorians. Apart from that? Great stuff.

@@Pendragon667 well spoken. also, The whole sidious plan was immense, spanning three perfectly connected films (first timers might need a rewatch tho) and giving more depth and meaning to the OG too. Maybe that's what I regret the most from the sequels, continuity and meaning to the saga instead of only to the films themselves
