Wow. Now you have turned me on to Judith Bergerson! You have opened a door into a world of art works that make sense to me, almost like being plugged into the grid for the first time. I mainly handle colour though textile work, and in recent years have been doing some magazine collage, using it purely as a colour source, but I see a way into a more mixed media technique now, introducing paint for more subtlety. Thank you so much, Gerda, finding your work and instinctive methodology so inspirational. I had been working on a black background and then foregrounding colour, but I think your method of giving depth by putting colour in the background and allowing it to be revealed is very effective, or putting the more saturated, blockier sections in later. The time lapse is also very informative, showing how you review constantly the depth and colour balance. Your ideas and techniques have given me much more room for exploration. I've had no art training since secondary school so you are remedying that, thanks from an old lady who has the joy of learning more each day!

That's great, Gerda.... I also love Judith Bergeson's art style so it's interesting to see how you divide up the canvas into sections for variations in your design using your own trademark style of how you pick out shapes with 'negative painting' so well.

Gefällt mir gut, bis auf eine Ausnahme, die hellbraunen Stellen empfinde ich störend. Aber alles Geschmacksache. Wie immer eine super Idee. Als ich das Bild zuerst sah, dachte ich, dass Du es mit Streifen abgeklebt hast. Aber ich hatte vergessen, daß es ja auch ohne geht. Hast es bei vielen Beispielen gezeigt. LG

hallo gerda. tolle arbeit. ich bin in wie immer begeistert. zu meiner frage: wenn du formen wie schalen, vasen, flaschen, blumen etc. in deine arbeit hineinmalst oder schablonierst sehen diese formen immer gleich sehr künstlerisch aus. bei mir trotz vieler übung und mühe immer dilettantisch. gibt es dazu tipps zur besseren gestaltung oder vielleicht ein video. denn mit dem "richtigen" aussehen dieser formen steht und fällt das bild. liebe grüße. christiane

Ich finde es nicht störend, wenn die Formen nicht so "richtig" und exakt wiedergegeben werden. Es hat seinen eigenen Charme, wenn sie bewußt unrealistisch schief und nicht perspektivisch richtig dargestellt sind. Wenn man das aber gerne machen möchte, hilft es vor allem, wenn man viel Zeichnen am realen Objekt übt.

Hallo Gerda 🤗 Vielen lieben Dank für das tolle Video von dir, mit den super verständlichen Erklärungen. Ich habe eine Frage, ist Acryl Binder transparent? Ich habe Schwierigkeiten ihn zu bekommen. Ich war heute im Baumarkt und die Verkäuferin hat mir eine Dose weiße Farbe mitgegeben. Wenn ich mir aber dein Video anschaue, kann das aber nicht richtig sein. Vielleicht hast du ja einen Tip für mich, wo ich ihn bekommen kann. Ganz herzliche liebe Grüße Christine 😘😘😘💗

Hallo Christine, Acrylbinder ist das gleiche wie Acryl Medium . Du bekommst Ihn im Künstler-Fachhandel (auch online zu bestellen). Im Baumarkt gibt es meist auch Binder (Caparol). Er ist milchig weiß, trocknet aber klar auf.

Wie immer super interessant und informativ! Wundervolle Farbkombi! Ich bin neugierig, wie lange hast du insgesamt an diesem Bild gearbeitet? Man merkt ja ab und an auf deinen Videos, dass deine Kleidung wechselt. 😉 Ich habe es bisher noch nicht geschafft, ein Bild an einem Tag fertigzustellen. Ich benötige immer wieder Zeit, um das Bild liegen zu lassen ohne es anzusehen und es dann nach ein paar Stunden mit "neuen" Augen zu betrachten. Danke für deine Inspiration! Liebe Grüße Susi

Liebe Gerda, wow, wo bringst du da bloß alle deine Utensilien und Farben unter? Bei mir siehts chaotisch auf und unter dem Wohnzimmertisch aus. Ich hab nämlich auch nur dort Platz zum Malen. Und solange die Malphase andauert, bleibt auch alles dort stehen. Besuch muss sich mit meinem kreativen Chaos abfinden, denn alles immer wieder wegräumen mag ich nicht. Viele Grüße und weiterhin so viel kreativen Input wünsche ich dir! 🙂

Liebe Gerda, ich weiss nicht so recht, so rein gefühlsmässig kann ich mich ausnahmsweise mit diesem Bild nicht so richtig anfreunden. Die hellbraunen Stellen fühlen sich für mich irgendwie störend an, das Bild fällt für mich wie ein wenig auseinander. Dies ist einfach mein ganz subjektiver Eindruck. - Und ich möchte dir diese Rückmeldung dennoch geben, obwohl sie ausnahmsweise etwas kritisch ausfällt, ich hoffe, du nimmst es mir nicht übel...? - Danke vielmals und ganz liebe Grüsse! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Ishan Xeno Ja, das habe ich leider, leider ganz vergessen zu sagen: das Bild gefällt mir an sich sehr, sehr gut 👍, bis auf diese braunen Stellen... Kurz vor Ende des Videos, so ca. 16:00, fand ich das Bild wunderschön - bis dann ganz zuletzt noch die braune Farbe ins Spiel kam. - Das war von mir Kritisieren auf himmelhohem Niveau... 🤭
