Hi Nimsight, I have all my documents ready but just one question, should we have to upload Employee Reference and respective Payment documents together ? Let's say I have worked in 2 companies then from the below possibilities can you suggest what is the right way 1. Employee Reference 1 + Payment documents of ER1 in one PDF and similarly for ER2 so now I'll have 2 different PDF's for each experience 2. Employe Reference 1 + Employe Reference 2 in one PDF and Payment documents of ER1 + ER2 in another PDF 3. ER1 and ER2 separately + Payments documents of ER1 and ER2 separately - Total 4 in this case

Ideally, they say one integrated pdf for each section…. So, you will have 1 PDF for your passport. Then, the second one for your Master’s/Bachelor’s degree + Mark sheets (all years) Then, the third one for your Employment 1 reference letter along with payment evidence. Then, the fourth one for your Employment 2 reference letter and so on.

Hi @nimsight Thank you so much for putting together the information in such a concise manner. I have the following 2 questions. Could you please see if you happen to have some insights 1. I read somewhere on ACS website that if you have held multiple designations in a company then we must mention those as well. If so, do we need to write the roles and responsibilities separately for each designation that one held. Also responsibilities for software engineers are more or less the same across years. Do you think repeating certain points across employment references could possibly pose a problem. 2. I came across the term "Employment Episodes" a few times during my research for Australian PR. Is it needed anywhere during ACS' process or it is something that is needed in the EOI process. Thank you

Hi I'm in need of clarity with few details, 1. I have 7+ years of experience in ICT field where I have 6 years of working experience in testing field but unfortunately I hold a degree with ICT minor relevant to my field if they take away 2 years from experience as training period and validate only for 5 years will they give me positive skill assessment or in mandatory they were in need of 6 years of experience and also what if people have less number of experience than they expected will they get assessed or they will recieve no assessment

Hi Nimmi, While applying for my ACS skill assessment yesterday, I mistakenly uploaded some irrelevant files into my professional qualification section. However, later I uploaded a new PDF file named "Corrected Ones - All Employment Documents" that contains all the correct documents for my professional qualifications. It's a single PDF file that contains the Employment reference letter, Pay slips, and Bank statements. My question is, do you think the assessor will understand this matter? or they will still go through those other files instead of the new one?

Its a bit tricky..They might understand..However, if you could drop an email quoting your application id and stating this..It might help

Hi Nimmi, i have worked in 2 different companies. So should I be uploading experience letter from both companies? And how about Payslips and bank statements should I also have to upload my ex-company’s?

Yes.thats right.You would need proofs of all your employment. If you cant provide a reference letter un your company letter,you can also provide an affidavit and get it signed by your colleage.Details in checklist link in description.

Hey Nimmi, Im getting my documentation ready for ACS skill assessment. I have reference letters from my previous employers but my current employer is not ready to give a reference letter listing the roles and responsibilities. Are you aware of any on in your circle who had such kind of issue? Any idea if we have any alternative for this. Thanks!

Its a bit tricky and they might not count the experience you have with your current employer stating insufficient documentation. If it is not much experience, just go ahead and submit the application. As per the checklist(You can see the description) they want your letter to be in company letterhead. So, if theres any other way for you to get , you can give it a try. Or, if you cant get that you can get a declaration from a senior and a letter stating that why you cant get it letterhead. Thats what ACS says.. Hope you find something soon!

Hi Nimsight, Thanks for the video!! I would like to know few things. 1. Do we require pay slips and bank statements ? If yes, of how many months required ? 2. Is it required to notarize in all the pages of all the documents including educational, passport, work experience, pay slips before upload ? 3. Does the skill assessment of spouse add points ? 4. Do we need to obtain the transcript of all the marksheet or will the scanned copies of original suffice ? It would be great if you could let me know. Thanks !!

@neena 1 ACS says two forms of payment evidence..eg.bank statements,salary slips, form 16 ..so, i did salary slip, bank statement of begining and end of each financial year and some random in between payslips.. 2 no need to notarise, colour scans enough..Check checklist in description. 3. Yes, positive partner skiils assessment can give 10 points 4. I submitted color scans of marksheets and degree certificate. Should suffice Hope that helps! Hi, I've a name different in my transcript. Basically my surname repeated in both start and end of the full name. Typically in other cases, I provide an affidavit. Can I do the same for this also. Any idea ?

Yes! I think affidavit might work..Try submitting that too in your personal info section

Hi Nimsight, hope you are well. I received the positive result letter last month and unfortunately, my employment was assessed as not suitable closely related to the nominated ANZSCO code. am now considering submitting a REVIEW application for a different ANZSCO code. My question is, if I do this, will the review outcome produce a new result letter will invalidate previous result letters? Thank you so much.

Usually they ask colleague declaration..notarised copy . I have attached a sample in description,similar to that.. just that this would need nane, designation of colleague

If I have overall 9 years 2 months overseas experience from my current company, how many years experience will i get awarded by ACS? I hear they deduct 2 years. Also, I have all my payslips saved from first salary to the last one. However, I changed my bank account around 3 years ago closing out the previous one. So, I have all my salaries going in my current account for the past 3 + years but before that, the old account doesn't exist anymore. If I submit all payslips and bank statement showing salary transfer for last 3 years, will that be adequate for work experience assessment ?

You should get 7 years .. And normally they do need 2 payment evidence for experience.. Payslips might be needed for every year to prove….if not payslips, you can provide form16 too..

It depends on profession .For IT,if you have 5 years experience ,acs cuts 2 years and you get assessment for 3 years. Then you can claim points for 3 years in work experience if applying for Australian PR 189,190 visa.

Hi Nimi, Thanks for the great video My question is I am still working in my employment. But in the ACS skills application in the "Experience section" it is asking me to enter the end date..! .. May I know if I can enter the current date and submit the application?

Yeah..its okay to give the current date, I think because end date is normally till the date of submission of application, if nothing given. Just for reference , ACS also states this: If your employment is “Current”, the employer reference should state the term “To Date” and MUST include the date the reference was written. Make sure you do this in your reference letter.

Hello Nim, I have a total of 18 years of work experience in IT (BPO, Service Operations & Service Mgmt) and with 8 employers I have worked till date. I cannot get the employment reference letter from my 1st employer. Is that okay, if I skip my first employer work experience which is of 4 years during the ACS submission? So, the total years of work experience will be 12 years (4 yrs - 2 yrs)

Hey, my initial role was QA (8 yrs) and my current role is BA (1 yr) in a banking organization. However, I moved to a travel-based organization a year back on a BA role(1 yr). 2 years back, I got my skill assessment done for Software Tester (QA) 261314 which is about to expire on April 20, 2023. So in order to reapply for assessment I need to get roles and responsibilities from my previous organization (banking) for both QA and BA roles or just last rnr will work??

You can get for both but they would just access your respective experiences for each role. But , in my opinion If you want to apply for PR, you can stick to the one whetr you have more experience and get assesed for that. And if its expiring, you might have to submit everything again from the start , its usually a new application.

Yes it is fine.. you would be assesed for your education then! Check if you require an assessment for any visa you are considering

I put all payslips together in one document ...bank statements/form 16 together and employment reference letter separately..If any of them exceeded 3mb ,I named it like part1,part 2....

Hi, I have applied for ACS, however I missed some of the documents. Now I’m not given a chance to upload the remaining documents. I have requested ACS but no luck. What do I need to do now? Is there a chance to re apply ? Please provide some guidance

If you cant really upload new documents.Try editing going to the same section.If that doesnt work,your hope is sending an email to acs stating your application id and attaching your new documents

Hi Nimmi I have worked in UK in 2010-2011 November as a contractor where I have those documents but the question is my contract will be renewed once in three months and should I get the employment reference from them too as the contractor company doesn’t exist anymore, in this case can you let me what should be done ? Should I mentioned those experiences or not ? Thank you

Its upto you. If you are getting enough points for experience without showing that period , you dont need the documents. And your experience will be assessed on the rest of your period , if the other docs are good enough.

The employment reference that i had given was in black and white and wasnt signed!It was a system generated one!Since its not in their expected format,they did not give a positive result for my experience and Didnt count that experience!!I sent them an email enquiring the reason and they mentioned its coz of this incomplete letter!!so had to request my HR and resubmit the new signed proper letter!

You can do that. Theres no effect as such. But they adivise once you get one, its good to withdraw the other EOIs. And thanks for the feedback!

Hi, thanks for the valuable information..I have a question please..received ACS result..they didn’t consider my current job episode of 4 years leading my points to 80 instead of 90..stating “not assessable due to document guidelines not met”..do you advise to file for ACS review ? I uploaded 2 sets of payment evidences and employer reference letter..can I meanwhile submit EOI while waiting for ACS review? Any help is appreciated

Its better to drop them an email asking whats missing..And also go through the checklist to cross check what could have gone wrong. You can file your eoi but plz be aware that if the invitation comes, your assessment should be ready for invitation. So, I would advise filing eoi after couple of weeks of acs review submission so that atleast you are midway of processing time

Thanks for your reply..I am thinking to submit EOI based on 80 points and do not over claim..meanwhile if ACS review gets completed and I get 90 points due to my experience then update the EOI. Atleast by that time my EOi will be in the pool..Need your advice if that is fine.Will I be able to use the under review ACS reference number in my EOI? Thanks agajn.

No .. you dont need to..Only for the employment reference document, if you are getting from a senior colleague and cant get on letterhead, there are some instructions. Check the description.

I'm very late on this video, so don't know if you'll see my comments, I want to apply for 190, and 189 visas and have a software degree with work experience, where should I take my degree assessment, as I believe there's a certain body in Australia which assess your degree, or something like that anyone, please. Hi Summan ..For degree as well as work, the assessment is done by the same body- ACS(Australian Computer society) as part of the same application(need to attach proof docs aspart of the application). I cover the process in the video. Hope this is helpful!

Hi Nimsight, While applying for ACS Migration Skills Assessment, I am unable to select 'State' under 'Contact Details' in the 'Personal Details' tab. It is being shown as Not Applicable. Moreover, I am not able to include comma and full-stop while typing in the address.

Thats weird! Probably the country and suburb combination might be wrong. And you can avoid commas and full stop, just use spaces instead.

Acs states that Statutory Declarations and Affidavits will only be accepted in situations where an applicant is unable to obtain an employment reference. The applicant will be required to provide an explanation from their employer as to why an employment reference letter cannot be provided.So you can get a letter from a senior and get it notarised..

Ok thanks, and one more thing. I am the primary applicant and getting my IT Assessment done from ACS and my partner is Electrical Engineer and getting his assessment done from EA, so that we can get 10points form partner skilled assessed and PTE passed. But i came to know that the partner needs to be assessed for the same skill assessment. Is it so or it will be considered...?

Hi Nimsight, I am an Assistant Director (ICT) of Ministry of Finance Sri Lanka. I have an MSc in Computer Science and my first degree is Bachelor of IT. I am planning to do a skills assessment from the ACS for ANZSCO code 261111 - ICT Business Analysts, which is closely related to my current occupation. However, even though the job description of the ANZSCO code 261111 - ICT Business Analysts perfectly matches my duties and responsibilities, my title in the government is "Assistant Director (ICT)". Can that be assessed against the given ANZSCO code or will it be a problem? If so, what can I do about it?

@madhushani I think ACS generally looks at roles and responsibilities description rather than role title.Thats what I have heard..So, I guess if the duties match the ANZCO code it should be fine to proceed..

Thanka for the info. I have one question. One of my company which i have 5years of expeeince is not in business now. In that case i cannot get any new reference letter. But i have my service letter as well. What should i do in this case?

You should get a notarised letter written from a colleague of yours who worked with you in the company.

@@samz.1 Hi ..Can you check the description for a sample and other docs links..This is what ACS says:In the event you cannot provide an employment reference letter a Statutory Declaration or Affidavit may be considered. An explanation/confirmation from your employer will be required as to why an employment reference letter cannot be obtained. The declarant must provide their current contact details and at least one of the following as evidence of their working relationship with the applicant: Employment certificate/statement of service on official company letterhead Leaving certificate if no longer working at the same company

Hello. Please I have 3 years in experience in IT. The first year was as a technical support in a school but I do not have payslips or reference from that one, the second is at a bank for 2yrs and I have all document. Do you think I can proceed with just the 2 years documented profile at the bank in apply for the skills assessment

Hi! If you cant produce documents for that you can still proceed but its just that you might not get assessed for that. You will get assessment for 2 years only

@@chukshenry5134 It depends on your occupation and the cutoff for that occupation if you are going for points based visas for PR. Normally in IT, the points for work experience is 3 years or more. So, you might not get points for that but still you can claim all the points. So, you can give it a try!

Yeah..you need to attach bachelor degree documents including marklists,degree certificates. Please check the checklist attached in the description of video for more info.

I think its better to submit for both.Coz you would be assessed for both bachelors and masters..Else, they might not give positive result for bachelors

@@rochikashrestha6997 They need 2 types payment evidence to validate your experience eg. salaryslips, bank statements, form 16…Normally for salary,bank statements doc for begining , end of each financial year and some random in between slips,statements should be enough

Hello Sir, I have a query Reg. ACS Skill assessment which will expire on 11 May 2023. My new application brings my old assessed details and documents which I can not delete or edit. In my case, I have assessed an experience 2 years ago with a work experience certificate, which doesn't clearly state hours worked, DD/MM/YYYY, and employer's email address. and that will not fulfil the requirements according to the new guideline. I am not able to delete that letter and if I upload a new document, it will be mismatched with the old one. Please give me a suggestion. There are no changes in my Education or Experience. I just wanted to have my skills assessed as before. Thank you, Ronak

You can rename the document with -Updated or -New suffix and also drop them an email quoting what you did. Check out the new video I dropped , if required.

@@ronakshah9924 If its a new application,if you rename documents properly, they might consider the new documents instead of the old ones. Make sure to rename them.

@@VatsalSingh007 If company can provide themselves well and good,else to make it easier you can provide then yourselves and get it validated in the letterhead. Thats what I did for my previous company-gave them the whole format.

somebody told me that i have to do 1 year extra course after completing my masters in IT from australian university to get my degree assessment certificate which will later help me to get 20 points in PR process is this information right or fake?

That 1 year professional year course is for 5 points extra. People generally do it after masters. So if you want to claim points for masters plus professional year you might consider doing that too.

First of all you are doing great job. I have a list of questions: 1) I worked in 3 countries in my 11yrs of experience. Do I need to submit all salary slips, or bank statements? It will be really difficult to have all salary slips or bank statements for 11yrs with 3+ banks. 2) I worked for 3 companies, (3rd one is same as one but now acquired by New tech giant).. Will relieving letter work as experience letter? 3) I have done Btech in IT and working in IT company ( but in telecom domain as integration, upgrade and network engineer)... Will ACS will assess or Engineers Australia? Please help, kindly share official ACS team email id (if there is any for enquiries)...

If your relieving letter has roles and responsibilities along with few other things they require( eg full-time, hours etc -you can check the employment section in that acs checklist in the video description) it should be enough. Else, you might need a different one in the format expected. 3 . Yes , i guess ACS only will do the assessment since it might be in the anzco code related to network engineer..
