Dimash's magnificence and perfection can not be separated from the way he intuitively feels and expresses the lyrics with his body, movements, facial expressions etc., - if he just stood at the mic and sang like most he would not be the best on planet earth.

Stranger is an epic song with touches of medieval, Gregorian and even a march together. I love Dimash’s different voice textures specially the Middle East vibes in those riffs and runs 🎤❤️🔝🎼👏👏 Igor Krutoy said “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way” The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝

He has simply matured into an experienced, confident performer. He was only 22 or 23 in the early days. He still plans everything in these single performances meticulously, but now he is comfortable in his skin. His solo concerts are very different. There he is just himself and does what he wants

I totally agree! Can’t wait to see Dimash in Kuala Lumpur. It’s my second after Almaty. Hearing him live is an experience like no other! He’s so magnificent and totally mesmerizing! He can afford to be confident because his talent an charisma are unmatched to any other performer.

##dimash 🙏Thanks for your reaction to Dimash's singing and artistry. Dimash is very professional and perfectionist, so he prepares everything in detail. On stage, in his concerts, he gives everything he has. He is lively, passionate, funny, interacts with his Dears and very creative and edgy. He uses the latest multimedia tech to his advantage! He's very creative and he has the last word about his shows and he does them his way (there are interviews with people that have worked with him that state that). Moreover, he is very kind and grateful with everybody who works with him on/off stage. I agree, he has really become far more comfortable in his own skin as he has moved on. Of course he tried to be perfect in his early days, he was trying to be successful and make his family proud of him. I think he has arrived. Thanks for giving him another look. Dimash regardless of everything is a very humble and kind man, that along with his extremely excellent talent has drawn me to him.

Dimash has peformaces that are choreographed, especially those with dancing, which he only does to please Dears who want that sort of thing. Yes, he is dramatic, especially if he is trying to connect with a large crowd. But he has stunning performances where he is literally sitting in one place. (see Samaltau at Tokyo jazz fest or the vocalization of Know at Kiev or Love is Like a Dream in Moscw. I'm sure it's confusing to you as an acting coach. Watch his hands. Dimash is real. I hope you can stop resisting and actually enjoy the most stunning s male singer in the world. Thanks so much for watching and listening to him.

Yes it held 20sc on a single note at the end and in "Sinful Passion" it holds 24sc with multiple notes lol! Dimash is a diamond and you are surprised and disoriented with each of his songs. Bonjour de France :)

When you listened to Dimash SOS he had 6 Octaves plus 2 semi notes, now Dimash has 7 Octaves plus. He has been continuously training his voice. You might enjoy listening to or reacting to his SOS 2021 from his digital show, you might see some changes. Truly enjoyed your reaction to Stranger. Igor Krutoy wrote the music for Dimash Sharon Vaughan wrote the lyrics. It was written for Dimash to show his techniques & abilities. It is a great song for him.

When an artist is on stage with a lot of other performers, he has got to stick to the whole choreography of the piece as you would in a musical, but if you see him in concert, as I have he is very human. Will chat to the audience, laugh at things they call out, even in the middle of a song, gets them to sing with him, will sing happy birthday to someone, he is a lot of fun. If you watch him sing All By Myself at his New York concert he forgets the words and makes jokes about it etc. maybe watch that on your own just to see his human side, then you can enjoy his totally professional performances.

Cu siguranță Dimash poate fi și mai puțin teatral în mișcări, dar de ce ar face asta? E o alegere conștientă, vocea lui are nevoie de această prelungire corporală uneori, el cântă cu tot corpul. Toate aceste puneri în scenă sunt o poveste pe care ne-o spune. Poveștile sunt fantastice, ireale, dure, tragice, optimiste, cum le simte fiecare. El le simte așa, într-un mod decent cel mai adesea, alteori jucăuș, senzual. E artă. Pentru simplitate exista celelalte. Nivelul lui vocal e ca un teatru jucat de fiecare dată complet și maxim. E ca un tort, nu mânănci zilnic, patiserie goală de conținut găsim la orice oră. Evident, noi Dragii, mâncăm tort zilnic. 🙂❤❤

Choreographed? Dimash plans as any artist does...and should, but he also leaves room for flexability and emotional expression. If anything, to most listeners, Dimash sings with authentic conviction compared to most entertainers today. Don't mistake the nervousness of a young man competing in a contest for choreographed everything. Some is and some isn't. Dimash immerses himself and lives the song. But he's also a professional who is aware of what he's doing. It's not easy to have that kind of control. He gives 100%. And..there is nothing wrong with dramatic. In fact, people want to escape reality and be taken on a journey. People are drawn in to Dimash. He captures the listeners attention with every note. Dimash touches souls and changes lives. I don't get where you are coming from. Truly. If you can put together a better experience for an audience...we can't wait.

He swims to get that breath control. There is a clip of him swimming and you're like "IS HE OK??" since he's down there so long. 😆 This was at the "International Competition of Young Performers". Dimash was a judge. He premiered 2 other songs there that are completely different, "Fly Away" and "Ave Maria". Dimash is looser in concert. It depends on the audience. He jokes and sings with them. He runs around the stage, sometimes leaving the stage to cause security nightmares.

You are correct that this performance was choreographed, as it should be for premiere. For more freely performance with less scripted, watch all his own concert performances in his channel. He jumps, he dances, he moves instinctively based on the songs he performed.

You might want to check the 2021 version of SOS. It is my favorite version as you can hear that his range has increased and he is more emotionally mature. He is more comfortable in his skin. These types of shows tend to be highly choreographed. As others have said, he is much more comfortable at his concerts and he interacts with his fans a lot.

Dimash choreographs these masterpieces himself to draw us into the story. He gets into character with such dramatic performances like this one, bc they require that sort of commitment. It's purely for entertainment value and a question of taste - opera enthusiasts like me absolutely love the journey he takes me on with such performances. Who else can make us take time out to appreciate the finer things in life like this human voice trained to produce such beauty for us. Thanks for the reaction!

Fantastic reaction! You haven’t heard or seen anything yet. I don’t believe you have reacted to the live version of “The Story of One Sky” yet, where he leaves his soul on the stage! Then did “El Amor En Ti”(in Spanish) afterwards which absolutely was mind boggling! If you want to see a rather heartfelt absolutely amazing performance (without as much choreography). For some people, Dimash's movements on stage are a bit strange, and he always sings with the help of his body. With such complex songs with incredible tones, dynamics, jumps in octaves, changing singing techniques and voice colors - there is no way to succeed if you don't use the whole body. If you want to hear an even longer finale of a song about 23-24 seconds with one breath and not only a straight tone, but again incredible acrobatics, then listen and see "Sinful Passion" from 2018. One of his last compositions is El Amor en Ti. We asked him to sing a song in Spanish thinking that he was going to do a cover. We were wrong. He composed a song for us. With only two weeks before his concert in Almaty, he got a great classical orchestra y recorded the theme. A week before the concert, he received the lyrics in Spanish. The rest is something you must see because never another artist has done what he did on a live concert. I would like to see your reaction. Take care. ❤️🙏☮️

THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!….. With beautiful chords from the “KOBYZ” (a two-string Kazakh instrument), Dimash give us a high level of mastery and perfection of his voice. He runs through 5 octaves (C2-F6) soft, DEEP, high, modulations and beautiful melismas to finish on a sustained note of madness in 19.52 seconds (F#5)…..Saludos desde México ! 👏🏻❤️🇲🇽🇰🇿

I think the problem is that you're judging performances in Russia and China with western eyes. These kind of crazy over the top performances are what is expected and if Dimash didn't do these then he would be looked on as a bit player. Kazakhstan has been looked down on by most of the world for a long time, Dimash has come to the world with a great deal to prove for his country and he's not going to let them down. If you watch his New York concert you get a very different much freer Dimash where he sets out to make sure everyone has a damn good time you'll probably see what I mean. Especially if you watch his performance of All By Myself from the New York concert.

The trouble is that most reactors stick to the same performances again and again and don't react to Dimash's solo concert performances where everything is his decision and he's free to let loose and have fun.

Please consider reacting next to Dimash singing "Autumn Strong" live at his Arnau concert in Kyiv, Ukraine, just before the Covid pandemic started. It was the first song he sang in Mandarin in the Chinese show "Singer." He won a major award in Hong Kong for his performance and it helped make him a Superstar in China. This version is simply a masterclass, and I can assure you that you will be blown away.

This is the premiere of this song, hence his more elaborate portrayal of meaning through his movements, the setup of having a choir etc. In his live concerts there`s little of pre-rehearsed clear choreography, he himself is comfortably moving around in a more improvised manner. And it varies from song to song, if it`s a ballad v.s. a pop group dance song etc. And it matters what country he`s in, the culture of the public. If fans are standing in a stadium screaming at will, or sitting on chairs seemingly unperturbed and mildly clapping. He adjusts for that a bit as well. And it`s also facets of himself, not necessarily an act, he is both youthful and playful, and grounded and old-school. He is committed because he lives every song, and has to, as a means to access vocal techniques necessary, as well as always convey the emotional nuances of every story he is telling through singing. He always sits alone for a short while before his concerts to focus and bring out the core and meaning of what he`s going to bring to the stage. @@irenepolchet364 I borrowed this information too and put it in my comments as well, but someone more informed corrected me saying that it`s not really accurate, he was never retired, he was just looking for inspiration, and when he heard Dimash decided to propose a collaboration. And in 2019 he declared that he made Dimash a top priority in his work :) and we are indeed lucky to witness the amazing results :)

I really enjoyed your collaboration reaction with Rosalie, and I am thrilled to see that you are back with Dimash, Igor Krutoy composed this for Dimash. I think that you will really appreciate Fly Away, from the same concert, very different side of Dimash with a fantastic message and in English as well. There were three performances, Ave Maria was one, arrangement by Igor at the request of Dimash, a very unifying approach to that song, I don’t want to give away too much, but it is absolutely angelic. You should,also have to understand that his body is used intentionally to make the sounds come out of his diaphragm and vocal chords. That's what a very good vocal teacher discussed one time. Yes, it's choreographed intentionally. And those who may dance or move freely may not sound nearly half as good. Just saying. Nice reaction 🙂❤💥

Even more incredible than a 20 second hold (Dimash has done better than this), is the fact that he dropped to his knees and note did not waver. Great reaction but remember how young Dimash was for that original reaction. 💚 from 🇨🇦

El Príncipe Jazhajo es el mejor cantante e interprete de la historia..su voz nos atrapa y nos envuelve y no queremos salir de el..agradezco de conocerlo.. que nos da tanto amor y tanta pasión..bendito el pueblo de Kazajistan que tiene al representante de un ser tan maravilloso e inigualable.. con un don y talento dado por Dios y el universo. An interesting note: Stranger ~ composed by Igor Krutoy ~ lyrics by Sharon Vaughn. Sharon Vaughn is an American composer/lyricist who is in the Country Music Hall of Fame. One of her more famous songs is "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys", made famous by Waylon Jennings and again by Willie Nelson. Sharon had previously worked with Lara Fabian

My own simple advice to you is this: "watch all of Dimash's songs, because, in each song there are new vocal techniques not seen before or at least not seen in any of his other songs". So you missed a lot being away from our Humble Hero. Although, the mv you saw called The Story of One Sky did show quite a bit of his vocal abilities, more than any other song he's done to date. Btw, you can always look on the timer on the tool bar below the video. "that was 20 seconds" and you started a second late. It starts on the A of again. LOL. just being picky here, all in fun. The difference is that this one and the last one you watched are Dimash's creations along with the composer that came out of retirement just to work with Dimash. The composer is the gentleman playing the piano.

Dimash is an amazing human being on top of being a PhD music student and the Jack of all trades, Master of all. Yes, he can rap too. We are grateful to be born on the same era he was.

Sí Dimash es maravilloso:su voz,sus letras ,su interpretación u todo su ser nos da música verdadera que llena el alma…hemos estado invadidos por música con mensajes terribles que son tóxicas para las personas;en cambio con Dimash el mundo suspira y hay esperanza…desde Costa Rica feliz porque Dimas me hace feliz y amar mi alrededor ❤

😂 me da risa mejor contigo, a este chico tengo 6 años de que lo conocí y nunca me a defraudado, cada canción te sorprende, ve a su canal y ve los videos que son de sus conciertos, alucinas, e visto cada entrevista y lo e visto cantando acapela, de que el chico canta, canta y mejor que muchos, para mi, el mejor que e conocido en mi larga vida

Thank you for your reaction. I love Dimash’s songs in his native language. I think you may feel he is authentic, vulnerable in these performances. My favourite is Samaltau. For the 2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival Dimash sits cross legged on a bench in a studio. He tells the story of a Khazak man forced to join the Russian military in 1916. Maybe Dimash’s first composition in Spanish “El Amor En Ti” which he premiered at his Almaty concert last year next. It’s a staged production which you may not be keen on but it’s brilliantly jaw dropping. Oh to have been there to experience it live! You’re obviously a hard marker but glad you’ve given Dimash credit. Dimash has a unique style of performing - there’s no other singer or performer who delivers what he does to his fans. His dedication to his art is all consuming from continued daily training, practice, composing, creating, attention to every detail of his performances and career while keeping his feet on the ground with charitable and humanitarian work and love for family, friends and country. He delivers and we Dears appreciate and love him for it. More Dimash please and, yes, I’ve liked and subbed and hopefully you’ll support Dimash and subscribe to his KZfaq channel too. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

I perceive Dimash's heavily choreographed embellishments to his music as beautiful and empowering. His tendency towards them speaks to an aspect of his nature that is deeply expressive and creative. I am pleased with everything I see him do. The drama adds a beautiful extension of his skill at getting feelings and ideas across. So many singers stand and sing. Well, that's lovely. Dimash incorporates more artistic attributes. Bravo Dimash! And one must ask their self, Why not? It is performance art. But of course we all have our preferences, as it should be.
