Northlake and Fremont are two neighboring neighborhoods located in the northern part of Seattle, Washington.
Northlake is a small residential neighborhood situated on the eastern shore of Lake Union. It is known for its quiet streets, beautiful parks, and charming houseboats that line the lakefront. The neighborhood is home to the Center for Wooden Boats, a popular museum that celebrates Seattle's maritime history and offers sailing classes and boat rentals.
Fremont, on the other hand, is a larger and more bustling neighborhood located just south of Northlake. It is known for its eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as its vibrant arts and culture scene. Fremont is home to the famous Fremont Troll, a massive public art sculpture that has become a popular attraction for visitors to the neighborhood.
I take a walk from Gas Works Park along the waterfront, and then head under the Aurora Bridge to the Fremont Troll, and finish at the PCC Community Markets in Fremont.
