I've used other traction boards and can say USActionTrax is the real deal! I've real world tested them in snow, mud, and sand with great success. 100% USA made and proven in Baja- (they helped us win the Baja 1000!)

I have a pair of Treds and used them for the first time in snow to get a Hyundai out and later to get my Frontier out. Lol they worked decent but they didn’t seem to flex much and digging with them in cold snow wasn’t the easiest since there’s no grab handles. I’ll look into a pair of the Action Trax since having an extra set would’ve been super helpful and I think a little flex would’ve helped on some of the terrain. 👍🏼

Thank you for sharing your experience. We have tried TREDS as well. We also noticed they are very rigid, which would make them beneficial in a bridging scenario.

First thing i realized when i used my Maxtrax for the first time, they absolutely suck for shoveling even powdery sand. I could dig a trench with the E-tool i had on hand twice as fast. Standard shovel would have been even faster.

So true, a shovel works much better. What we did like with the "teeth" on the end is the ability to "saw" the ActionTrax further under the tire. Thanks for the comment!

Was this the first time you used them out of the box? Can you touch on durability? Do you think they would work well in the northeast with mud and snow?

No, we have been using them for about five months. This is the first time we used them for a buried vehicle in the sand. We have used them in mud, snow, rocks, and to level vehicles at camp. So long as you do not spin wheels on them they seem to hold up well; spinning the wheels on them at all will start to wear the lugs down/off. Does that help? Thank you for watching!

Not only do we used them in our racing in Baja, but I also used them to get a fully loaded Concrete truck out of the mud. In our business, we torture them and they hold up great.

Buy America. I've never used anything else. Seen AT's recover MRAPS and not break. These babies are the gold standard.

was there any stress in the plastic or cracks after they conformed to the ditch? Also how ridged are they if you stack 2 as a bridge or is that possible? Made in USA is a major plus.

No cracks. We didn’t try stacking multiple but would imagine it would increase the rigidity. Thanks for the comment!

Nah, at that price I'll go with Tred Pro or Maxtrax with the replaceable studs. Good test though.

actiontrax are $249, thats cheaper than tred pro($275) and maxtrax($299). the actiontrax without metal studs can be drilled out when they break and replaced with bolts from your local hardware store.

They are the regular ones with plastic studs. We haven’t used the metal studded ones before. That being said we have never had any issues with the plastic ones. Thanks for watching!

What system are you using to mount these to the roof racks? I am trying to find mounts and could not find them on the website. Thanks.

A few of us use the perfect bungee to attache them roof rack and on the 3rd gen we have a custom bracket we built.

Can you (or anyone) tell me if these will stack on top of a pair of Maxtrax? Other than the teeth, they look like the same profile. Would help to know for those of us with existing maxtrax. Thanks.

They don't stack tightly as an exact fit but they do stack, if that makes sense. Thanks for watching.

Does anyone know: 1) The dimensions of the MaxTrax compared to the Action Trax? 2) Can you use MaxTrax locking mounting pins on the Action Trax?

They do stack but not as tight as being stacked on another ActionTrax.

He barely spun his wheels and damaged the rivets. For over 300 bucks that shouldn’t happen. Even my basic treds don’t wear like that. Big thumbs down.

They are definitely a softer material than some of the other options. That being said all of them melt with wheel spin. Thanks for the comment!

You do realize that buying American ensures Americans stay employed, right? And, if a company makes a bad ass product. Why shouldn't they say where it is constructed, built and manufactured? Some people want to complain and not provide a(any) solution...
