These planes are doing an extended roll to have the necessary power to do this. Normally you wouldn’t be able to do this right after a normal takeoff, you would stall out.

Do you know that if a commercial plane needs to climb a steeper than normal incline after takeoff, for example runaway 31 in the old Hong Kong Kai Tak airport, they need to offload the plane to half?

@@macbrush okay but you didn't say half did you, you said "no passengers, no cargos and very little fuel"... airliners have a lower efficency close to sea level, so often airliners take off and make steep inclines to reach cruising altitude quickly

Robert Andrews I am pretty sure the planes shown in the video carried no passengers, no cargos and very little fuel to make that kind of Manoeuvre on takeoff. They are doing over 45 attack angle at low speed, because when they pitch the plane so quickly, the plane needs to be light enough to change angle of momentum quick , otherwise the angle of momentum would starve the engine from oxygen.

Although many shots were no where near vertical (90° Nose Up) you did provide some great footage with a camera angle that DOESN'T over exaggerate the aircraft's true angle.

You simply would not be able to, as these planes are supposed to carry many tons of passengers and cargo and still fly normally, without them, the engines are giving a lot of additional thrust allowing to take off like that All these planes are either empty or supermaneuverable/fighter jets

If it looks extremely steep, it's just an optical illusion due to the camera perspective. Normal airplanes have a maximum angle of climb, above which a stall occurs and the plane falls like a stone from the sky. The only exceptions are significantly overpowered aircraft such as combat jets, where the aerodynamics of the wings have only a minor role at full thrust.

Not really... I am a ramp agent in KLIA Malaysia... I have seen China Airlines doing vertical take off while Im on my way to refuelling my baggage tractor... They usually carry passenger and cargo to the max load of their aircraft... I almost forgot... They use B777...

Yeah, most planes would go into a stall and at that height even the best won't recover, but a good pilot knowingly and light weight can do these crazy maneuvers. Yes X P U know.
