How to entertain toddlers on airplane | Airplane travel activities that will keep your child busy and occupied during the flight
If you are going on a trip, especially on a flight, you may want to try some of these activities to keep your toddlers busy and entertained. We recently went on a trip with Alina (29 months old) with a 2.5 hour plane ride. It was her first time flying, so I really wanted to make sure we have enough activities to keep her occupied while traveling. THE BUSY BAG, which contains lots of airplane toys that I carefully selected for my 2 year old, were a HIT.
In this video, I share how to make a busy bag for toddler (1-2 year olds) and what activities we had in the busy bag.

I do a lot of travel with my now 14 month old, usually she has little toys, so very excited to try little activities such as these. Best of luck with traveling with your daughter internationally. She did amazing on this flight!

I am sure you'd have more tips and tricks for travelling with little ones, if you do it often. I've done it only once and she did amazing on the domestic flight but i am super nervous flying alone with her for 15 plus hours 😬 Is there any magic toy you'd recommend that works every time?

You could easily diy those puzzles with photos, just get enlarged copies made, cut them & then laminate them. Would also work for a diy memory game

Hanging the toiletry bag is such a clever idea! I'll try this busy bag next time we go on a trip!

Yeah hanging the busy bag on the back of the seat was a real game changer. I didnt have to help her getting activities out of the bag all the time, she could help herself without asking me, which was really handy!

Great activity ideas. And I absolutely love how you just let Alina play with the items in her own way - picking the velcro dots off the popsicle sticks was fine!

I'm so glad this video exists! My husband's family lives far away (6 hours flight) and I was scared we couldn't visit them until our kid grow much more older. They will be so happy to see the little one more frequently without putting stress on us and the kid!

Did you get the Korean items on a trip to Korea or from a website somewhere? So many of our Korean bookstores and stationary stores closed here 😭😭😭

Is it something to do with Covid? There are not many Korean bookstores or stationery stores here either. We get Korean books and kids stuff either directly from Korea (I get my mum to send me) or from private group purchases with other mums in Brisbane. This is the bookstore where we buy most of Alina's books from. www.mystoryhouse.com.au

Do you have a “food” video coming up on what your feed and pack for your daughter? Also, curious to ask, do you send her to daycare 5 days a week (at a Montessori place I’m guessing)? I have a daughter same age as Alina but slightly younger. 😊

And does that mean your little girl is home the rest of the week if not in daycare? Sorry for all the questions I’m very inspired by how well your daughter has learned everything so wanting to see what we can bring into our family’s routine😇

I now realize that most of those kids that you see really uneasy during flights, their parents have no activity prepared for them. People expect their children to sit through a whole flight just looking front.

Hi. Great ideas, thank you. May I ask how do you deal with potty/toilet when your toddler was potty trained? Did she have diaper on the plane?

Hi! I just had her diaper on during the flight and regularly took her to the toilet, just like we'd usually do at home. I didn't even want to think about dealing with a wet seat on the flight.. It was just for my mental sanity 🙃
