This new MDX really is handsome in person. It's going to destroy the competition

As a normal person who uses this car as a daily driver, it’s a really good car. Feels real nice. I’m not all about every spec and every feel, it’s just a very good sturdy daily driver. The infotainment is not bad at all. The true touch is a good concept and I don’t have a million gross finger prints on the touch screen. Driver controls the music only the driver should control it.

It's a driver's SUV through and through, I completely agree with reviewer number 1 in his assessment that it is a standout in agility, handling and overall driving dynamics. Not sure what reviewer number two was experiencing but when he said he preferred driving a Telluride and the previous MDX over the new MDX, credibility was instantly lost.

Is this supposed to be a review or someone from acura pissed off one of the guys and he is just going at it. Amount of complaining is off the charts. One says positive, other immediately negative. And as a viewer who is trying to get information; that’s just confusing. May be this is a format this channel is going for; but not for me. All the best guys !!

I think what Acura did with the chassis is exactly what they mean by sporty. Not craming 30hp and calling it a day. You can actually drive it, hit corners and still be comfortable. Just wait for the type s.

The nitpicking about it not being what it’s not is beyond annoying. It’s not a sports sedan! If you want a sporty mdx the type s is coming. A-spec is an appearance package. No different than Honda putting “sport” on the back of an accord, relax!

the guy with the bald head should get some of this turbo charged four poppers with all the messed up tech in there and also should get informed about mechanical engineering before he talks about truck based chassis etc

It’s strange I’ve seen a couple reviews now of people not liking the MDX because it rides too luxurious and not sporty enough. I find that to be a strange complaint. If it drove more sporty people would say it’s not refined enough, now it’s too refined and not sporty enough. It seems like Acura is always held to such a high standard. I don’t get it. Wait for the Type-S it should give you that rigid sportiness you’re looking for.

I actually like everything except the infotainment controls. I don't want to be married to that touchpad. Just give me a simple touchscreen. C'mon. Android Auto and CarPlay are designed for touch.

I agree with the interior size assessment. I’m 5’6”. I thought the second row legroom was a bit tight; I expected it to be roomier.

Love how much more aggressive it looks and thank goodness the infotainment was upgraded from the last gen 🙌🏽

Just looked up performance difference between my 2014 and this 2022 sh-awd on car and driver. Same 6.4 seconds to 60 and the weight difference is only 260 not 400. At 43xxlbs, my 2014 mdx was only 200 lbs heavier than the RL at the time. Great car and the 6 speed is smooth! I get great highway mpg as well!

EDDs , just got my new 2022 MDX Advance. It is one very Pleasing vehicle. I'm sorry I don't know your names. I am truly Excited by it. The styling , the driving / handling enhancements, fit and finish, the many " amenities", the comfort, and the Safety controls make this SUV an outstanding value. The first guy , says it very well, You feel you are driving a smaller vehicle , Planted, not floaty, very enjoyable tpo drive. I'm 69 YO, retired, and now can't wait for the excuse to do for drive. It is a Faux Paux that Acura (who probably invested a lot of $$$ into the Infotainment system (TTIP) 0 so no turning back), is using the Touch Pad. Should have been a Touch Screen w/o a doubt. Even better : have Both. Your review is about the mechanics mostly, but readers should be aware that the 16 Speaker ELS stereo system is Outstanding which can be self tailored to individual tastes .... I haven't been able to do that yet, but playing it Right out of the Box , in the default mode... Sweet !!! Oh yeah, I had an internal HD / CD player in my 2019 , this one eliminated that .. Too Bad. Now I need to copy all my CDs onto USB Flash Drives. The internal HDD allowed for easy access to all your music. Play the CD once, record it to the HD , and you had complete control of Playlists, scrolling thru , etc. Now I have to use Flash drives and Stream the Music form the Streamers , which costs $$$ each month for Uninterrupted Music . Very different options from anything else I've heard on the vehicle. I think if you drive the MDX without the perspective that a Type S version is coming. You'll find yourself looking for something not meant to be there.

Just. Make. Touch. Screen. Acuras are firing on all cylinders lately, but too many people won't buy a non-touch screen. I just can't for the life of me understand why they would try to over engineer something that didn't require it. Hondas have touch screens!

Hey Guys, this was a really Fun and Informative Car review with nice contrasting comments. I'm out there shopping for a potential replacement to my current car: 2019 Acura MDX Advance. Leased until June 2022. I'm a Grandpa , 69, retired just this past month, unfortunately due to spinal disabilities / arthritis (SUX BIG TIME), and didn't need and won't need a 3 row SUV. Love the space , but don't need the 3rd row. I would really like to see a survey performed of the public who elect to take on a 3rd Row SUV to determine how many people Really Use that feature?? IMO, if you really have that need with 3 or more kids, then get Minivan (many now have AWD). Love to see you guys do this for other SUVs : 2021 Kia Sorento SX / Hyundai Santa Fe , VW Tiguan ... PS: Agree with the comments about that Freakin Touch Pad which Turned me off on the RDX in 2019 & it is perplexing that Acura didn't up the engine specs with just a slight tweak on the HP and Torque without the need for the new Turbo version coming in the next few months. These reviews are spot on. Got a MDX 2022 and not very happy with it. Soft and mushy brakes, very mediocre fuel mileage. It’s mediocre Jack of all trades and nothing stands out as pointed in this review. May be this is a real car review channel and they don’t get money from anyone.

Love the assessment. Similar to how I felt after my test drive. Hope what’s missing is in the “s” turbo coming.
