I was in VP-4 (skinny dragons) '85-'87. deployed to Adak in '86 3 of the squadron patches on the outside of the hanger were from other NAS Barbers Point squadrons. VP-1 Screaming eagles, VP-6 Blue Sharks and VP-22 Blue Geese. thanks for the memories

Also in this Video you were talking about Navy Radioman Stationed At NSGA back in the 40’s. I was a RADIOMAN 😁😄😆👀

2:12 I attended that chapel many times as a youngster when I was there '54-58. My mom was the church organist and tells the story that one evening after dark she went to the chapel to drop off materials. Getting out of the car she was chased by a pack of abandoned dogs up the stairs. Fortunately the church door was not locked so she got inside and slammed the door shut just in time. From that point on Navy personnel with rifles hunted down abandoned dogs and shot them on sight.

I was stationed there in 1989-1991. Those huts we used to rent from MWR for fishing. They were great for weekends.

I had orders for that place in 92, USMC. I begged the S-1 Gunny for Okinawa. He hooked me up. I had just spent over 4 years at Bridgeport. Adak, no way.

My wife and I were married in that old chapple in 1985. In full dress blue uniform.

Red , white , and blue buildings were there in 73 , I worked in the blue bldg. In 73 ,then in early 74 , I was tad to pwc wc20

Hey 👋 buddy I’m trying to find my friend I Served with Tom Milton on Adak he owned a Cabin out in the Tundra with 10 beds a Generator Fireplace Stove and and MUSIC 🎶. A whole bunch of of would go out to the Cabin when we were off of work and Party 🎈 for days !!!!! 🤣😂😜 I’ve been trying to Locate Tom for 42 years with no Results 🥲
