As always, Chuck straight to the point and bluntly calling out today's players. He speaking as someone who played in the golden era of basketball where players were paid less, the game was more physical, doctors and sports science wasn't as advanced as today, etc.. and yet players from that era never did load management or sit out games unnecessarily. I can't understand with all the luxuries and advancements in today's game, for some reason this generation of players are complaining and whining the most. I'll leave it at that.

Don’t know how you’re paid millions, have access to the best medical staff, play 4 games a week and yet feel like you need to sit a couple games

@@TheeKing7No one is saying it is but they are paid millions for those games. Thats the contract. People buy tickets to see these players they should see those players play. No other sports league has this problem.

They're not going to risk their contenders with a potential injury playing an exhibition game. It would be great for the bottom-tier teams though.

All this means is they are making too much money. If they weren't, they would be playing with no problems. Also, they would be putting in more effort in these All Star games.

You don't wanna play? Fine, go out there and engage the fans more. Slap some hands, take some pics. Eat a tv dinner in front of everybody Bron, it gets the blogs going.

Never saw Jordan, Bird, AI or Kobe wanting to miss a game. They wanted to play or at least felt they had a job to do. And they played in eras where they could get physically beat up every night. Money has killed the game and many players these days are soft.

The NBA is becoming an unwatchable league. Players play when they want, and teams charge an excessive amount of money when certain teams roll into town just for star players to sit out. Something has to give.

LeBron James is King of Load-Managing. LeBron James has played 82 games for only ONE (1) season out of 21 seasons. Michael Jordan played 82 games for NINE (9) seasons out of 15 seasons. This is how LeBron James made it to Year 21, still playing at a high level, with or without EPO.

Listen. He said it. The TEAMS buy these players and want them for the entire contract length. They understand regular season vs playoffs. And understand that if joel plays less he'll likely be available more. Regardless of what silver is saying, injuries are less likely to happen the less you play. Is it what I want? No. Is it smart? Yeah. Is it a problem? Probably. So, is it the players or the for profit company that owns the players services for long periods of time?
