Dearie me. For years now (10+ perhaps?) Justin must have put in thousands of hours of hard work, care and effort into these tremendous lessons and puts a huge amount of them out for free. For us. For you. Yet all it takes is for a throwaway comment regarding his views on climate-change and some idiots decide to attack the guy. Grow up people. Just bloody grow up. Regardless of viewpoint people should be thanking Justin - not childishly 'unsubbing' to make your miserable point. Justin - you carry on being you fellah. The world is a better place for it.

No one is saying that Global Warming or Climate Change is a hoax - We just don’t think that shutting down the world economy and giving away even more rights to world governments is the answer (or would even do anything to stop it). By all means, go ahead and continue drinking out of disintegrating paper straws and washing out your yogurt cartons while the Rich & Powerful fly around the world on their private jets. That one trip they took on their G6 from London to Davos is probably more CO2 than you or I will create in an entire year - but they know best, right? I don’t hate Justin for saying that comment (like the way Leftists hate and disregard people who disagree with them), but I’ll present a counter-argument while we’re here and continue supporting his channel. Comments and engagement helps.

Oh, my goodness, I've only watched the first 40 seconds and I'm excited. I've been trying to work out for myself, Hendrix's rhythm techniques and those things he does during "breaks" -- sort of a really quick unison bend then hammer-on-pull-off thing -- just a flick. It's absolutely delicious. And, here you are doing these things. Wonderful. Thank you! It seems to me that if you can master these licks, you can use them to create extended improvisations that can go on, literally, forever.

Hello Justin, I would like to say thank you so much. When i bought my first guitar i went home and looked for beginners' guitar lessons in 2009 and your video lead me to your website. And so I learned to play guitar from watching your videos. I did not watch all the beginners' videos, but i surely finished 2 beginners' courses on your website. I am happy to see you still making videos and definitely happy to see you recording somewhere other than your bedroom, although one item is recognizable in the background. So thank you so much :)

I remember about 6 months ago or so, i just couldnt understand how this Hendrix rhythm method worked...I knew my pentatonics, my finger dexterity was o.k., i just thought Justin and everyone else teaching this style, knew something they wouldnt tell us or something. Crazy, i know...As a blues singer, with music being my fulltime job....18 months ago, while covid blasted us, i thought let me buy an electric guitar, and learn...My studio is in my house so it was perfect..So, for 10 plus hours a day 7 days a week i had the guitar in my hand, also ended up with 11 guitars by years end, lol...i didnt go out, or even really answer the phone much, i fell in love, and became obsessed! Friends and family even questioned my mental well being hahahahaah, true story....But it was worth every second...Point being, i just once again found this video, and laughing because not too long ago i may have even cursed Justin out when i couldnt get it, lol...Sorry Justin...I was sooo frustrated..Watching it now is so gratifying, bc i didnt give up and my laxed brain now knows the ins and outs of this style and many more...If your new and you read this, DONT QUIT!, Justin is not conspiring against you, with all the other youtube teachers hahahahaha, Before you know it, youll be adding to what Justin is excercising in this lesson, so keep tuning in to Justin, we need more beautiful music and musicians, in these trying times, and who knows? you can be one of the next greats...Either way, just persevere, its worth it...TY Justin...

Great lesson Justin, thanks so much for this. I've done the embellishments before, but never tied them together like an entire scale run. Really useful! By the way, the sound you get for example at 0:20 and 0:32 is very tight and choppy, with accentuated treble strings, although you do it with a downstroke. I only seem to get that sound using upstrokes for some reason. Have you perhaps got a video with how to achieve that treble-y, cut off sound with downstrokes (reminds me of Motown and reggae)? If not, that might be a good one for the 'future lessons' pile?

Hi Justin, thanks a lot for all these valuable informations, I’ve been following your work for some years already because I love guitar! And I think you teach it very well, the way you teach makes me feel it is really possible for me to play also in a good level. My question now is about the settings on the amp, I feel unsecure to get my guitar sounding like yours.. could you pls tell me a little about it? Is it a clean sound, no distortion at all? Do you have some reverb or sustain set? The same sound I listen on youtube for this lesson now are you listening too in your room with the amp in low volume? Sorry for this long text, I thank you very much for any help, I loved this guitar tone! ❤

@jake2355
@jake2355 6 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming you’re talking about getting faster and cleaner/smoother with your chord changes yes? In which case, my advice would be.. Keep going! If you’re still a beginner, you can’t have been practicing this for very long. Be persistent and it will all all fall into place. I recommend going from G to Em to G to Em etc. When you can do that, you can play Songbird by Oasis pretty much all the way through. Then move onto 2 different chord combinations/changes that you find especially difficult. It’s a good idea to switch between an open chord and a barre chord. Like D to F; Go back and forth between any chord change you’re struggling with and you’ll have them nailed in no time. **** When doing any repetitive exercises, I find it’s a good idea to stick the TV on and watch a movie while you practice! Before you know it 2 hrs of focused solid practice have flown by! ****

Justin, you are a great guitar teacher. But, that fact does not make you a scientist. Save it for those true believers not here for a guitar lesson by creating another tube channel. If you would like a science lesson look up E Lorenz, MIT Professor of Mathematics and Meteorology, father of modern chaos theory. See what he has to say about the scientifically useful nature of prediction when modeling deterministic systems that are nonlinear and sensitive to initial conditions. Thank you in advance for considering these suggestions. I love your guitar lessons. Truly inspirational and effective.
